Cherry MX mechanical shaft is recognized as the most classic mechanical keyboard switch, and its special feel and gold contact make its quality double. There are four kinds of MX series mechanical shafts used in keyboards, which can be distinguished by the colors of shaft caps, namely, green, dark brown, black and white. The handfeel is very different, which can meet the various needs of different users. From the structural point of view, MX shaft is divided into single-column foundation structure and three-column foundation structure, that is, at the bottom of the shaft, some shafts are single-column structure and some shafts are three-column structure. The latter can ensure greater stability on PCB circuit boards. Judging from the internal wires of shafts, some shafts have diodes in their internal wires, while others do not. For example, Cherry 1865 uses a tea shaft with diode wires, which is costly. According to whether LED lights are designed or not, MX axis can be divided into two categories: with lights and without lights. This kind of mechanical shaft is used for the luminous keyboard with color card holder and some special keys that can emit light. After disassembling the Cherry MX mechanical shaft, we can see its structure and components, base, shaft cap (shaft type is distinguished by color), shaft cap fixing clip, spring, metal leg and contact metal sheet. If it is a shaft with LED lights, there are LED lights. The difference of MX mechanical shaft mainly comes from the structure of shaft cap and the length and number of turns of spring. ? The shaft cap of green shaft and green shaft is a unique double-layer structure, which is one of the most mechanical properties of these two shafts. Other shaft caps are of integrated structure, but the convex part of the switch cap in contact with the metal plate is different, which is another main factor affecting the hand feeling besides the spring.
