Ancient Tang is Jin, Jin is Tang, Jin and Tang are not divided?

That's true. Tang and Jin can almost be synonymous with ancient Shanxi.

The word Tang is associated with Emperor Yao. The word Jin also comes from the ancient Tang Dynasty when the Western Zhou Dynasty was enfeoffed.

Before Emperor Yao ascended the throne, it was Guo Tao (now Pingyao, Shanxi) and later changed to Tang Guo (now Linfen, Shanxi).

Pottery, which means pottery, shows that Pingyao, Shanxi Province was the place where pottery was made. The original meaning of Tang and Oracle Bone Inscriptions is "Geng+Kou". Geng is an ancient threshing instrument. Perhaps at the earliest time, the place of Tang State was a place with abundant grain and frequent grain shortage. A word has been added to the word Geng. The original meaning of the word Tang is "throwing the word", which means it is as exciting as the grain from the threshing machine. Extension means rhetoric and command. .

Therefore, in history books, Emperor Yao is often referred to as "Tang Yao", "Tang Yao" and "Tao Tang".

There is no doubt that Guo Tao should be the ancient city of Pingyao today. In the Qin Dynasty, Tao Ping County was established in an ancient pottery country. It was renamed Pingyao in the Northern Wei Dynasty in the 5th century and has been passed down to Pingyao in Shanxi today.

In the ancient Tang Dynasty, where was the fief of Emperor Yao? There were three different views in ancient Tang Dynasty. One in today's Tangxian County, Hebei Province, one in today's Taiyuan, Shanxi Province, and one in Linfen, Shanxi Province. These three places are not far away.

Perhaps there is a fact that can be reasonably explained: Emperor Yao may have been born in today's Tangxian County, Hebei Province, but his initial fief was in Guo Tao (now Pingyao, Shanxi Province) and later changed to Tang Guo (now Taiyuan, Shanxi Province).

After Emperor Yao ascended the throne, he built a "Tang Cheng" in his fortress city Taiyuan. Therefore, Taiyuan has the ancient names of "Tang" and "Tang State".

I lived in Taiyuan for a while, either because the river overflowed or the river diverted. Emperor Yao began to lead the tribe to move south along the Fenhe River, and finally settled in Pingyang (now Linfen City) in the Fenhe River Basin.

Zheng Xuan in the Eastern Han Dynasty said in the Book of Songs: "Yao first lived in Jinyang and later moved to Hedong." In Qing Dynasty, Yan Ruoqu also said in Shangshu Shuzheng: "Yao is the son of heaven, making Jinyang first and then moving to Pingyang House." Taiyuan was called Jinyang in ancient times and Linfen was called Pingyang in ancient times.

Therefore, it can be said with certainty that Taiyuan and Linfen are both ancient Tang countries, where Emperor Yao lived in different periods.

In the Northern Zhou Dynasty, Li Hu, the grandfather of Li Yuan, was granted the title of Tang Guogong, and his fief was in Taiyuan. In the Sui Dynasty, Li Yuan inherited the honor of Tang Guogong. In 6 17, Tang Guogong and Taiyuan left-behind Li Yuan, assisted by their second son, Li Shimin, rose up, which was called "Jinyang rose up" in history. In May of the following year, Li Yuan proclaimed himself emperor and was renamed Tang Dynasty. The Sui Dynasty perished and the Tang Dynasty was established.

Shanxi Province is called "Jin" for short, because the main territory of the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period has been dominated by the territory of the Jin State for a hundred years.

However, the State of Jin was not originally called the State of Jin, but the State of Tang.

There is a famous allusion "East Ye Feng". Zhou Chengwang was the second king of the Western Zhou Dynasty. With the help of his uncle Duke Zhou, he succeeded to the throne when he was a minor. One day, while playing with his younger brother Yu Ji, Zhou Chengwang picked a plane tree leaf, cut it into the shape of a mandarin fish and handed it to his younger brother, saying, "I want to give this to you." My brother Yu Ji was very happy and told his uncle Zhou Gongdan about it. Zhou Gongdan asked Zhou Chengwang about it, and Wang Cheng said, I'm joking with him. Zhou Gongdan replied: You are joking. So Zhou Chengwang sealed his younger brother Yu Ji in the Tang Dynasty, which was called "Yu Shu" or "Tang Shuyu" in history.

Tang Shuyu's enfeoffment of the "Tang State" should be in Linfen, Shanxi (referring to Taiyuan, Shanxi).

Later, Tang Shuyu's son Ji Xie succeeded to the throne and moved to Jinshui. So he changed the name of the Tang Dynasty to "Jin". Ji Xie is also called "Jin Houxie". This title has been used for more than 600 years until 403 BC, when Zhao, Han and Wei were divided into three parts.

Why did Jin Houxie change his country name to Jin? "Geography of Hanshu" records: "The Tang Dynasty had Jinshui, Shu was the marquis of Jin, and Jinshui was changed to the marquis of Jin."

So where is Jinshui recorded in the history books? There are many statements, but the correct statement should be in Jiangxian County, Shanxi Province today.

Because there are historical books such as Lu's Spring and Autumn Annals and Mao's Poems: "My uncle changed his name to Jin Hou because there was golden water in the south of Yaocheng." Yao Ruins is the place where Yao Emperor lived and built his capital in his early days. Yao ruins are either in Taiyuan or Linfen. Linfen is dozens of kilometers south, which happens to be Jiangxian County, Shanxi Province. In fact, Jiangxian County is very close to Linfen.

At the end of the Three Kingdoms, in 258 AD, Cao Taizu, the fourth emperor of Cao Wei, wrote a letter to Si Mazhao, the son of Sima Yi, the Duke of Jinxiang, to establish the State of Jin. Later, his son abolished the state of Wei and established a new dynasty, named Jin.
