Good Sentences in The Prince and the Beggar

Reading Mark Twain's works, this is the first one. I have read his autobiography before and have a general understanding of him living in that era.

Judging from his life experience, he knew that he was bohemian when he was a child, but he was a very successful person when he grew up. No matter the business mind or the literary mind, it can be seen that he is a leader in the industry he is involved in.

Mark Twain's writing style is famous for its sharpness and unique narrative style, and each character in the story has distinct personality characteristics.

The Prince and the Beggar, the title, has been read many times when I read Twain's biography. It's just that I look at his life experience, and I just think he is the growth experience of a naughty boy.

When he grew up, although he dabbled in many industries, he must be a "prince and beggar", which may not have much impact on his life.

But when I opened this novel, I was really attracted by it. Reading page by page, it seems that there is an excitement in my heart, which makes my eyes keep on. I just want to catch up with the story behind, and I never want to stop my eyes.

It seems that such an Edward VII story has great attraction to me as a latecomer.

After reading the novel, I recalled the stories I had read. It seems that what attracts me is not the luxury of the palace in the novel, the red tape of the nobility, nor the sadness of the poor life in the story. ...

This is human nature, and every character in the story seems to be vividly written. They all have their own distinctive personality characteristics, and most people can sum them up with the word "good people".

They may be rich, or they may just be nobody in the garbage. Or a group of homeless people who are desperate because of indecent laws.

But their kindness and simplicity in human nature, and even some wishes for a better future, have indeed become "fresh" in the author's pen.

The story is no longer a simple kind-hearted prince leading a little beggar to visit the palace. Because of curiosity, he changed clothes with the little beggar. They look alike.

However, the prince was driven out of the palace and exiled to the people, becoming a tragic experience of a fallen prince.

The story outlines the personality characteristics of princes and princes-"integrity". Even when there was no hope of returning to his original life, the little prince never gave up the idea of regaining the throne. Even he repeatedly declared himself as a "prince" to any stranger, even if he was laughed at by others, even if he was regarded as a madman because of his rags.

He has never let go, and his heart has always maintained a noble side. This has nothing to do with the prince's plight.

On the surface, this novel is the legend of King Edward, but in essence, what we see is Prince Edward's upright and kind character, witty and clever mind, and the kingly demeanor of distinguishing right from wrong.

A period of folk life, let the prince (later king) know the sad side of ordinary people's life and understand that people can't live just to fill their stomachs. The knowledge in their minds can really be said to be the basis for a person to be called a "person".

The whole story is not long, but every character in the story is written with flesh and blood, which really permeates the inner beauty and ugliness of the characters.

Perhaps the so-called "everyone" is how to describe the life in the pen. Although Mark Twain's writing is humorous, his stories are close to the lives of ordinary people, and he is really good at exposing the joys and sorrows of ordinary people's lives, the theme of the story can write the promotion of "beauty" into the thoughts and feelings of the protagonist.
