Su Dongpo's interesting story

Su Shi's family (Bu Dongpo) was a great poet in the Northern Song Dynasty with high literary attainments. With his father Su Xun (without Lao Quan) and his brother Su Zhe, they are called "Sansu". Farmers all say that Su Dongpo is a good official. During the Chinese New Year, everyone will kill pigs and chickens and give them to Su Dongpo. When he received it, he wrote down his name. Then cut the pork into cubes and cook the ingredients in a large pot. Su Dongpo personally watched the fire and ordered a ceasefire when the soup was almost finished. The meat at this time is delicious, red and crisp, especially attractive.

At noon, he ordered people to send them to everyone according to the list to let them celebrate the New Year. Su Dongpo also invited some officials to drink and eat meat with the elderly. Everyone thinks this meat tastes particularly delicious, tender and palatable, fat but not greasy, thin but not firewood, and everyone gives this meat a name, called "Dongpo Meat".

Su Dongpo was praised by the local people and left a good reputation. Everyone continued his poem in two sentences: "If you want to be thin, unless you fry meat with bamboo shoots every day."

Su Dongpo and Huang Tingjian applauded after hearing this: "This' help' and' loss' has brought the breeze, the slender willow, the pale moon and the plum blossom back to life. How nice!"
