Our family also has ancestral graves and genealogy. I even met the last patriarch of our family, but he died of illness two or three years ago. About ten years ago, when the old patriarch was still alive, he cleaned up the genealogy on a large scale, so the latest genealogy of our family was ten years ago.

In other words, children born after 10 are not on the genealogy at present, and it may take ten years or even longer to clean up the genealogy next time, because the new patriarch of our family must come forward, and now the authority of the new patriarch is obviously weaker than that of the old patriarch, so it is more difficult.

At the same time, our family also has ancestral graves. Every year, we go to the ancestral graves. Whoever gets married, marries a daughter-in-law, gives birth to a child, goes to college, worships the ancestors on Qingming Festival, and is buried when the elders die, so there are always tributes and incense in front of the ancestral graves.

According to the old patriarch, this is the tomb of our first ancestor, about 1400 years ago. After the establishment of the Ming Dynasty, our family began to reproduce formally. Although after more than 600 years of reproduction, countless things have happened in the family, but in the end it has continued steadily. I think this is also the result of ancestors' blessing.

At the same time, in my personal opinion, the most important thing is that every generation will have an old patriarch to handle family affairs. I don't know what these affairs are, but they usually appear in the form of genealogy and family commemoration. Usually once a year, but sometimes not every few years. After all, this concept has faded a lot in modern society.

However, on the one hand, our ancestral graves or genealogy may seem a bit traditional or backward or conservative, but on the other hand, we still benefit from this "family" form. No matter where we meet family members, we will feel a sense of intimacy.
