Teachers are more patient with children. Personally, it is estimated that at least 80% of piano children learn piano in a musical instrument store. Just like the unit exams, mid-term exams, final exams, mid-term exams and college entrance examinations when we were studying ... The goal of most children practicing piano is to pass 1- 10, and participate in some small and medium-sized competitions from time to time. Children with strong abilities take part in some large-scale competitions, even international competitions. All our efforts must be tested by some certificates and competitions. Of course, studying in a musical instrument store also has some disadvantages, which I gradually summed up through more than two months of accompanying classes and communicating with friends:

1, mobile teachers and students.

There was fierce competition among teachers in the music store, and our first teacher jumped ship to another music store. Think carefully about the reason why she left her job, which is nothing more than great pressure and low salary.

Teachers must earn commissions by constantly giving classes to students and brushing the number of classes. Some music stores even put pressure on teachers to make sales achievements, that is to say, teachers should not only teach, but also sell their pianos to parents or other potential customers. This makes the profession of teachers no longer pure, and it is impossible for 100% people to concentrate on teaching and research.

Suppose a teacher arranges eight classes a day (conservatively, most of them may be more, after all, he works from morning till night) and has two days off every week, so he has 40 classes a week. If each child has two classes a week (the frequency strongly recommended by the music store in the initial stage), then the teacher can teach up to 20 children. With such a one-to-many, can the teacher arrange the teaching plan?

2. The level of teachers is uneven.

I read a lot of posts on the Internet, and some parents complained that their baby's teacher is not even an ordinary class, but is majoring in vocal music, dance and non-art ... Tell me about my baby's two teachers and my own sparring experience:

The first teacher, her fee is the most common one, but I have a good impression on her, and her attitude is very friendly and patient. Perhaps because of my junior qualifications, there are not many students below, so I am very careful in every class and have a planned teaching with the naked eye. The main thing in class is encouragement, which will guide children to find the feeling of how to press keys by playing games. Know each child's learning progress. Every time after class, she will take the initiative to communicate with me the main points of going home to practice the piano and urge me to send her a video of practicing the piano in time. She will watch every video carefully and record feedback questions for me. According to her original teaching plan, we can graduate from staccato and enter the study of Legato. But she suddenly left without warning. If she hadn't moved to another musical instrument store, maybe my child and she would have learned half a book soon.

The second teacher, her fee is a little ahead of schedule, because she only followed her for three classes, and she can only talk about her feelings about the status quo. Generally speaking, she has a lot of teaching experience, probably because her students are teenagers or even older adults, and her communication with younger children is slightly poor. In the process of teaching, it is best to demonstrate in person, and you can play with your children instead of sitting by and watching them play and correcting them. The only thing that bothers me is that I have taken three classes, and the progress is only the level of the original teacher. Too focused on error correction most of the time. For example: 1, the problem of "raising slowly, falling fast" corrected a whole class; 2, 3/4 beat "weak", the weak sound is too weak, and even the finger changes from the key to the key, which corrects another lesson. So I had to buy a book myself, look up information on the Internet, and seriously study whether children should pay too much attention to basic issues such as hand shape, touch keys, rhythm and strength. In the initial stage, it delayed the progress and may even be overkill.

In fact, in the second question above, I found that my child has been able to master the strength skillfully, but the teacher did not put forward the view that the weak voice is not very low in time in class, which made him go to an extreme in the process of practice. During this week's class, the teacher paid too much attention to this point. A piece of music corrected the weak voice for half an hour. Personally, it is not necessary. In teaching, children's irregular play will inevitably lead to some problems. A class of 45 minutes is precious, and children also want to gain fresh knowledge and get the satisfaction brought by learning progress, instead of obsessing over small mistakes and getting lost more and more. In fact, teachers can guide children in the classroom. After children master the methods, they can advance the teaching progress in time and record the problems that have occurred. After class, you can fully communicate with your parents and let them play the role of "sparring teacher". If parents are incompetent, there are various sparring apps to share. As a parent, I don't want to waste all my class time on a small mistake. In dealing with this problem, our first teacher handled it properly, and the time allocation of each class was reasonable, so we could learn new things by reviewing the past.

Every time I go home from class, the first practice must be unpleasant:

1. It takes time and patience for children to understand the new content in class. At first, I must have stumbled. Eva is too competitive to allow herself to make a little mistake. As a sparring parent, my own mentality is also impatient, and it is easy to ask for a child according to the standards of adults. When a child plays wrong, I tend to think in a conditioned way: can this also be played wrong? There must be problems such as inattention, eyes not looking at music, weakness of fingertips and so on. On the stumbling road, I didn't care about his feelings or the reason why he stopped to rub his hands. Instead, he constantly urged him to complete the practice and complete the perfect practice standard in his heart (0 mistakes, beautiful melody).

I have deeply reflected that such a long time will be a loss to children and myself, which will not only dampen children's confidence and interest in learning the piano, but also increase their risk of mental illness and cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases and undermine the parent-child relationship.

How to solve it?

1, go home for "first practice" and give yourself plenty of time. Let time slow down, and let the practice of each song slow down. Don't worry about mistakes, don't worry about the number of times you finish, and give your children more encouragement. Give him a small reward when he successfully passes the first level. Take a break to catch my breath, and then finish the second and third time. ...

Move a stool to sit next to him. When he plays wrong, he will personally hold his hand to demonstrate and take him to find the feeling. In class, he will imitate the teacher's practice and take him to do it again to deepen his finger memory.

3. When the child has resistance, ask him what he thinks at the moment, help him overcome the current difficulties together, and use non-violent communication instead of beating and cursing. If you really don't want to play for a while, it's better to let your child have a rest and change his mood, and then find time to finish the exercise when his mood is stable.

Childhood is a critical period to cultivate interest. It is rare for an active child to enjoy playing the piano and sit quietly. I used this violent way of communication. On the surface, it strengthens children's awareness of rules and self-discipline. In fact, this way makes children more cowardly and irritable. In fact, the child just met with difficulties. As parents, we can't deepen his fear of difficulties. Instead, we should actively find ways to teach him how to cross this "hill", help children reach a small "milestone" and find a sense of accomplishment in learning.
