The difference between national highway and provincial highway

Difference:

First, ownership is different.

National highway 1

It is the abbreviation of national trunk highway, which refers to the main trunk highways with national political and economic significance, including important international highways, national defense highways, highways connecting the capital with the capitals of provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government, and highways connecting major economic centers, port hubs, commodity production bases and strategic locations.

2. provincial highway

It is the abbreviation of provincial trunk highway. It refers to the provincial highway network with provincial political, economic and national defense significance, which is determined by the unified planning of provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions as provincial trunk highways.

Second, the management methods are different.

National highway 1

Inter-provincial highways in national highways are built, maintained and managed by specialized agencies approved by the Ministry of Communications.

2. provincial highway

Provincial highway departments (provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government) are responsible for construction, maintenance and management.

Third, the composition of road numbers is different.

According to its administrative level, highways in China are mainly divided into three levels: national highway (including national and provincial trunk lines), provincial highway and county road. The first letters G, S and X of the national, provincial and county Chinese pinyin are used as their respective identifiers, and the identifiers are numbered by numbers.

National highway 1

National highways are numbered with three digits, and the first digit is the classification number of the layout. The second and third digits in the three digits indicate the arrangement order of national highways, and the "××" of "1×××" is the ordinal number of a class of national highways arranged clockwise from north to south. The first digit in the three digits indicates the national highway category:1××××× stands for radial national highway with Beijing as the center, 2××××× stands for north-south national highway, and 3××××× stands for east-west national highway.

For example:

G 10 1 Jingcheng Shenyang Line, passing through Beijing, Hebei and Liaoning. G20 1 Hegang-Mudanjiang-Dalian Line passes through Heilongjiang, Jilin and Liaoning. G30 1 Suifenhe-Harbin-Manzhouli Line, passing through Heilongjiang and Inner Mongolia.

2. provincial highway

The number of provincial roads is compiled within the provincial administrative region. The provincial radiation serial number is compiled within the provincial administrative region.

Radiation line (1 at the beginning), vertical line (at the beginning of 2), horizontal line (at the beginning of 3), vertical tie line (at the beginning of 4), horizontal tie line (at the beginning of 5) and loop line (at the beginning of 6).

For example:

S 1XX: It is composed of the provincial mark "S", the radiation mark "1" and the two-digit serial number.

S2XX: It consists of the provincial road mark "S", the north-south vertical line mark "2" (even number) and the two-digit serial number.

S3XX: It consists of the provincial road mark "S", the east-west horizontal line mark "3" (odd number) and the two-digit serial number.

S4XX: It consists of the provincial road mark "S", the north-south longitudinal tie line mark "4" (even number) and a two-digit serial number.

S5XX: It is composed of the provincial road sign "S", the east-west cross tie line sign "5" (odd number) and two-digit serial number.
