Songgu Peak is located in the northeast of Longyuanli, and it is in full swing with Sansuoli and Longyuanli. Cross Sichuan in the north and reach the corner of the troops in the northeast. The main peak is 288.7 meters high, extending eastward from the top of the mountain to the unknown highland of Shutang Station at the turn of the highway, which is the only place for the enemy to flee to the south of 30 miles.

On the 30th, the 335th regiment, which came to fight after completing the task of luring the enemy, was ordered to insert SongGu Feng and arrived at the east slope of Donggou at Shutang Station at dawn. The regiment ordered 1 Battalion to occupy SongGu Feng and its eastern area as soon as possible. At this time, 1 battalion found that the enemy had fled along the highway, and ordered Company 3 to quickly seize the unknown highland in the southeast of SongGu Feng.

At 6: 30, Company 3 climbed the bare mountain, and before building fortifications, the soldiers saw endless enemy cars, tanks and infantry pouring in. This is the second division of the United States, which was defeated by our 40th army in the military corner.

The enemy's search troops began to search up the mountain and were defeated by our company 2. At this time, the enemy's car approached the front of our third company position. When the company commander gave the order, the machine gun shooter Yang fired a shuttle of bullets, and the enemy car suddenly burst into flames. When the regiment command post heard the gunfire and saw the flames shining around SongGu Feng, and the enemy was in chaos, it ordered the light and heavy machine guns of the 2nd Battalion to fire at the road on the west slope of Gouxi and the enemy-intensive places, so as to relieve the pressure of the 3rd Company, and the enemy separately dealt with the positions of the 2nd Battalion. 1 the battalion commander also sent a messenger to tell company 3: "disperse and hide, calmly fight!"

After a period of chaos, the enemy began to realize that the only hope of escape was to cross the road on the edge of SongGu Feng. First, the enemy bombarded the position of the Third Company with 18 tanks, dozens of cannons and 32 planes for 40 minutes, which turned the position of the Third Company into a sea of fire, and then drove away thousands of infantry.
