Differences between Chinese and foreign pop music modes

Because China people's culture is restrained and gentle, and they started late, there are few elements such as rock, jazz and blues in European and American pop music, only simple, popular, straightforward and catchy elements remain in it.

China's pop songs are dominated by major and minor tones and pentatonic scales, so they are relatively harmonious and single in hearing. There are a lot of jazz scales, blues scales, dissonance and so on in European and American pop music, so the hearing is changeable. In addition, the rhythm of domestic pop music is relatively simple, and many rhythms of European and American music come from jazz, blues and rock.
