The Analects of Confucius is the masterpiece of Confucius' thought and the most classic Confucian work. However, in thousands of years' circulation, some words have been misinterpreted intentionally or unintentionally, deviating from the speaker's own original intention and confusing millions of listeners in Qian Qian all over the world.

1 Keep your word and do what you want.

Misunderstanding: This sentence comes from The Analects of Confucius, Luz. Most people regard this sentence as a gentleman's way, and it is often praised by later generations as the virtue of honesty, but there is actually the second half of this sentence: "I am so humble."

Truth: Zi Gong asked Confucius, "What kind of talents are first-class talents?" Confucius believes that first-class talents are "those who do things shamefully to make them work in all directions and live up to their mission" (diplomatic talents); The second category is "the clan calls filial piety and the township party calls each other brothers" (moral model); People who "keep their word and do whatever they want" are much inferior, and they are "humble people" (a low-level person who insists on death), but "repression can also be regarded as a second time" (still regarded as a first-class talent).

Confucius was never an old-fashioned man who refused to accept death. "Credibility" has preconditions, and it is not blindly stubborn, but trustworthy. Abiding by the principle of "faith" has a "moral" premise. Without this principle, it is not a true belief. Mencius said: "You don't have to believe what adults say, and what you do doesn't have to bear fruit. The key lies in benevolence and righteousness." This sentence expresses the original intention of Confucius.
