What if the phone forgets the screen lock password?

If you use a vivo phone and forget the screen lock password, please refer to the following methods:

Based on consumers' privacy and information security, the screen lock password needs to be set manually by consumers and stored locally in the mobile phone through encryption algorithm. The mobile phone has no function of automatically setting or modifying the password, and vivo/iQOO has no way to obtain the screen lock password. 1. Confirm whether to use multi-user (OriginOS 1.0/Ocean system is applicable).

In the screen lock interface, check whether the current user is a sub-user or a guest. Because the data between users is independent, the set password cannot be used. You can switch to the corresponding user and try to unlock it. Switching mode: click the user name and select the corresponding user.

Second, reset the phone through cloud services.

If you have turned on the "find mobile phone" function on your mobile phone before you forget your password, you can try to access the cloud service webpage through other devices, log in to the vivo account to enter the "find mobile phone" page, select "data backup", back up your data to the cloud service, and then select "empty your mobile phone". This operation will erase all data in the phone, including the password. If the function of "finding mobile phone" is not turned on, but the mobile phone can be unlocked by biometrics (fingerprint or face unlocking), you can interconnect the mobile phone and transfer the backup data of the computer version, then open the cloud service APP to start the function of "finding mobile phone", log in to the cloud service webpage, and enter the page of "finding mobile phone" to operate "clearing mobile phone".

* Note:

① Find the "data backup" of the mobile phone page. Only data that supports automatic synchronization, such as contacts, short messages, schedules, notes, etc., can be backed up to the cloud service, but photos and videos are not supported. Please confirm the data backup on the cloud service webpage after sending the instruction. If photos and videos are not backed up in the cloud service, the data of photos and videos will be lost when the mobile phone is cleared.

(2) If the words "To protect data security, all functions can be used only after unlocking" are displayed on the screen, it means that some functions of the mobile phone have been disabled. In this scenario, the mobile phone will not execute the related instructions sent by the webpage of the cloud service, such as data backup, emptying the mobile phone and so on.

Third, reset the phone through recovery mode.

Some models can use the recovery mode to reset the phone, which will erase all the data in the phone, including the password. If you backed up your phone data before you forgot your password, you can restore the relevant data after resetting your phone. If you haven't backed up the data, you can't keep the data on your mobile phone, and once the data is cleared, it can't be recovered.

Step 1: Shut down.

Press and hold the power button until the power off slider or button appears on the screen, drag the slider or click the button to turn it off, and then wait for one minute to ensure that the phone is completely turned off.
