The reason and purpose of the activity: 1. The 4th Freshmen Debate Competition. As a language art, debate has a long history, and its function is self-evident. In ancient times, Mozi once said, "A husband's debater will distinguish right from wrong, judge the century of chaos, clarify the similarities and differences, and examine the facts. Be interested and be suspicious. " It means that the function of the debate is to draw a clear line between right and wrong, explore the standards of the world governing chaos, judge the basis of similarities and differences, weigh the pros and cons, and solve people's ideological doubts. Debate can make people argue right from wrong, insist on truth, exercise their thinking ability, increase their intelligence, enhance people's understanding and promote mutual communication. Through debate, people can better understand each other's positions and viewpoints, seek common ground while reserving differences, and reach a higher level of psychological communication. With the ultimate goal of enriching campus life, strengthening the construction of study style in our department, improving students' language expression ability and adaptability, and enhancing their sense of honor, our department launched a debate competition for nearly one month. First, the preparatory work and publicity work played a great role in the planning stage of the competition and the careful planning and organization of the learning department. For this reason, we actively applied for venues, tables and chairs, audio equipment and invited guests from the judges. On the eve of the competition, posters were posted in the lobby of the Economic Building. Second, the debate process "The Third Freshmen Debate Competition of School of Economics and Technology" Finals came to an end in the Economic Building on April 12th. Fierce competition and wonderful confrontation brought the war to the extreme. For this purpose, they fully display themselves on the stage and their abilities are unconsciously improved. First of all, the thinking ability is improved. If there is no insight into things, there will be no amazing punch line. If there are no thoughts like springs, it is impossible to flow freely. The profundity, argumentation and agility of thinking have been improved. At the beginning, there were less incoherence and inconsistency, and I was speechless. There are many witty remarks, and there are many eloquent people everywhere. In the preparation before the game, I saw the problem more deeply, no longer stayed on the very superficial surface, but also learned to think and ask from multiple angles. Secondly, language expression is more artistic. After several exercises, each player has a good grasp of the coordination of speech speed and intonation, and even formed his own style. Especially in the final, Jiang Shaoguang's passionate, cadenced words and Zhao Lu's thoughtful and aggressive words aroused warm applause from the audience. At the same time, the ability to use Chinese language has been enhanced, and allusions, idioms, poems and aphorisms, proverbs and proverbs often appear in debates. In order to enhance the expressive force of language, students also pay attention to the use of rhetorical sentences, leaving many things for the audience to learn and remember. Both sides of the debate tried their best to analyze the problem comprehensively and deeply, showing both sides of things to all the students, while the audience launched intense thinking in the conflict of ideas, finally understood the essence of the problem, learned to analyze the problem, improved their ability to distinguish, and laid the foundation for effective action later. The rich debate atmosphere has also improved the school's cultural level and physical fitness. Students can discuss more elegant topics, learn to convince others, and will not scold people rashly, let alone make a big move, which is much more civilized. 3. Enhancement of class cohesion: Debate is not only the display of individual talents, but also the tacit understanding of a small group of four people and the support of classmates. Before the game, the squad leader and the study committee actively and orderly organized the whole class to find information, cheered for the players during the game, applauded and cheered for them, and shared the joy of victory and the pain of defeat after the game. The competition brought them closer and more like a family. 4. Increase teachers' understanding of classmates. This activity mainly invited the counselors and teachers of this session, and the teachers had more and deeper understanding of the students in the course of the debate. Fourth, the local debate competition worth thinking about has received good results in general, but there are also some minor problems in the organization process. The debate did not do a good job of pre-competition guidance, which led to the debater's lack of awareness of the game and the first round robin. If we can give the correct program guidance in the debate comments, it will give students a more positive influence. The rematch was held in a small classroom due to the limitation of location, which brought a lot of inconvenience to the enthusiastic audience. I hope these shortcomings can be made up in future activities. By holding this debate competition, the relationship between the learning department and other departments of the Student Union has been further strengthened, and the coordination and cooperation between the departments has enabled this debate competition to proceed smoothly. At the same time, this debate competition has accelerated the exchanges between departments and achieved the purpose of arguing with friends and arguing with each other. In order to enliven the campus atmosphere, enrich students' activities, improve the writing level of freshmen of grade 2xx in our college, and provide a platform for literature lovers among freshmen to express themselves, the essay competition for freshmen organized by the College of Economics and Technology of Anhui Agricultural University aims to encourage students to seriously explore the spirit of actively participating in creation and daring to innovate. In addition, our department also held a speech contest, and now the Chinese knowledge level test has achieved good response.

Unconsciously, we have been in the learning department for almost a year, and we have completely adapted to the life in the learning department. The life in the learning department is busy but colorful, and we get along very well with everyone. We have also been supported and affirmed by many teachers and classmates in our work. In the student union, one can increase a lot of knowledge, whether in study or work or other aspects ... In the student union, we learned how to treat others, how powerful a team is in unity and cooperation, how happy we are to work hard to do everything well, and how happy we are to serve teachers and classmates ... In the student union, we are like two insignificant grains of sand in the desert. But the desert is made up of such a lot of insignificant grains of sand. Our strength is weak, but the backbone of the school, the Youth League Committee, is made up of many such weak forces, and we can't ignore any of them. Especially the broadcast of the first English classic film, the opening symbolizes the completion of the new learning department. The once-a-month broadcast of English movies not only brings a lot of convenience and happiness to English lovers and English learning, but also brings an entertainment to students' after-school life. With the unanimous support of the majority of students, they also unanimously requested once a week, but due to the lack of time and venue arrangements, this opinion was not adopted. There is also a freshman debate competition organized. Everyone did their best in this month-long activity. Although everyone was very tired and even dozed off when walking, we did it. From this, we not only selected excellent classes, but also selected a group of debate elites to form a debate group in the college to prepare for future competitions and the delivery of talents. Also, the upcoming englishparty organized by CET-4 is being carefully prepared. Take everything around you seriously, carefully observe the subtle changes around you, try to do your part, and help others as much as you can, which not only makes you happy but also facilitates others. Of course, the work can't be smooth sailing. When we encounter difficulties that we can't solve alone, we should take the initiative to ask for help.
