Talking about Harbin Institute of Technology and University of Science and Technology of China

Harbin Institute of Technology is partial to engineering, while China University of Science and Technology is partial to science (and it is a basic science, so many people go abroad).

It is not recommended to evaluate schools by ranking.

But if I study, I don't recommend these two schools very much, not because the schools are not good enough, but because of geographical disadvantages. Never underestimate the geographical location. In today's China, geographical location has a great influence on a school, from students to talents. The geographical defects of these two schools make it difficult for them to retain talents: first, most of the talents trained by their own schools are unwilling to stay in Harbin or Hefei, and most of them have gone to developed cities; Secondly, foreign talents generally do not choose to develop in these two places; Third, most of the talents in grain colleges and universities are trained by themselves, and the phenomenon of academic inbreeding is serious, which is not conducive to broadening horizons.

Compared with schools in Beijing, almost every university has many masters and doctors from Tsinghua Peking University, while the University of Technology and the University of Science and Technology can hardly find talents from Tsinghua Peking University.

Then in terms of employment, the geographical disadvantage is even more obvious. The number of enterprises that come to the school to recruit is not comparable to that of Beijing and Shanghai, and the local job fairs are even less decent. Don't say that some well-known enterprises go to these two schools to recruit students every year. How many real famous enterprises are there? How many people can get in? In fact, the employment situation of these two schools is not much better than that of second-rate schools in Beijing and Shanghai.
