1. How to register for the domestic ACT test
ACT is currently only available to GAC International College preparatory students. So if you want to register for ACT in China, you need to take GAC preparation courses. If you want to know more, you should visit the ACT registration website to inquire.
2. Can Chinese students take the ACT test directly?
ACT currently only allows students with U.S. status or valid multiple-entry visas to take the ACT test in China, but they do not need to Take the GAC exam because they can fly to the United States to take the exam at any time.
GAC International College Preparatory Program is actually an international English preparatory program, a sub-course of the American College Entrance Examination ACT, and is a recognized international college preparatory course in the world.
3. ACT test content
The ACT test not only tests English proficiency, but also tests math and science skills. It is a test that focuses on students' comprehensive abilities. The total score of ACT is 36 points, including four tests:
1. The English test mainly tests students’ understanding and analysis ability of written English.
2. Mathematics tests mainly test candidates’ quantitative reasoning abilities.
3. The reading test mainly tests people’s ability to understand, analyze, evaluate reasoning and solve problems. Reading tests cover the natural sciences, social sciences, humanities, and even literature and art.
4. The Scientific Reasoning Test measures people’s ability to process scientific concepts through charts, tables, and research summaries.
In addition, there is a 30-minute optional writing test to test students' English writing ability.
