Did all the people on the earth evolve at the same time?

Historically, "people" like us-but not the same species-did not "evolve" at the same time. For example, there were once apes, homo habilis, homo erectus, homo sapiens and so on. As a species, modern humans are known as Homo sapiens in animal taxonomy, and belong to more "evolved" Homo sapiens. Historically, these "people" appeared in different periods. People belonging to different species can't cross each other to produce viable and fertile offspring, that is to say, different races, such as Neanderthals among Homo erectus and ancient individuals like us, can't have children even if they have sex together!

Race is another concept, which is more complicated than the above biological concept. Involving animal classification, society, nationality and politics is more controversial than the above questions about biology. However, to put it bluntly, races may be divided into different groups because of their different looks and physiological characteristics! Nowadays, its classification is more determined by political factors than biological factors.
