"The Cretaceous Past" is a bit interesting, and the main line is the extinction of dinosaurs. In the story, dinosaurs and ants are interdependent civilizations.

Some colleagues said that after reading Liu's books, they all tell stories from a high angle and have no feelings for individuals, so there will be no ups and downs and the stories will be peaceful. I think, on the contrary, Liu started directly from one ethnic group, which was really unkind to the individual, but for the extinction of the whole ethnic group, he started again after returning to zero and went on wave after wave. Struggle and resistance before the destruction of ethnic groups, rebirth and cherish after the destruction. There are many ups and downs in this collision. Finally, there is one, which I personally don't like very much. But this article has something to do with the devourer, so let's talk about it briefly.
