Lin Qingxuan’s three dreams

There is a saying that a person's death must be experienced at least three times. The first time was when he passed away, which was a physical death; the second time was when the memorial service was held, which was a social death; the third time was when the last person who remembered him died, and this was his true death. After death, the world has nothing to do with him.

Lin Qingxuan has passed away. Many people on the Internet miss his beautiful writing, and many criticize him for being unsympathetic and unrighteous. Since I know very little about him and have not read his writing, it is difficult to evaluate him. I have only read one of his "Opening Lectures".

His hairstyle is impressive, almost like a real-life version of "Fire Cloud Evil God", this is the first impression. In addition, throughout the lecture, he gave people a sense of tranquility, calmness and wisdom. He told three stories about himself to tell young people the importance of persisting in their dreams.

Story 1 tells that when he was 8 years old, he dreamed of becoming a writer. His father asked him why he wanted to be a writer. He said that as a writer, you could write articles at home, send them out and make money. His father said that if there was such a good thing, he would have done it long ago, laughing at his whimsical idea. But his mother is very understanding and supportive of him. I often gave him water to drink while he was writing. Once, his mother asked him whether the words he wrote were more happy or unhappy, and he said there were some of both. His mother said that it would be better to have more happy words. The article was written for others. If it makes people unhappy after reading it, that would be a bad thing. Lin Qingxuan kept his mother's words in his heart. Over the years, he kept writing, and as everyone knows, he became an excellent writer.

Story 2: Once he got first place in a junior high school exam, the teacher rewarded him with an atlas with a map of Egypt on it. The Pyramids, the Sphinx, and Cleopatra deeply attracted him. He said that he must go to Egypt when he grows up. His father heard this and slapped him, saying that he would go to Egypt if he didn't study hard. He also said that he would use his life to guarantee that Lin Qingxuan would never be able to do anything in this life. Go to Egypt. Lin Qingxuan cried and said that his life should not be guaranteed by others. Later, while in college, he took a chance and actually went to Egypt. It was the first time he left Taiwan. Under the pyramids, he wrote a postcard to his father, proudly saying that he had arrived in Egypt. Mentioning that slap and reassurance from his dad. When his father received the postcard, he said, "I don't know if it was a slap in the face."

Story 3: When I was in junior high school, I watched Roman Holiday and thought Hepburn was very beautiful. Eight classmates in the dormitory all said that when they grow up, they would marry the person Hepburn wanted to be his wife. Later, they all grew up, married wives and had children. At a party, he discovered that there was only one person whose wife looked like Hepburn, and that was his wife.

Several stories are told in simple and wise language, which makes people feel happy and benefit a lot. At this point, there is a little more appreciation and recognition. When I have time, I will look for a few more of his books and read them. I believe I will learn more about him.
