How many out of ten people don't know what "New Matai" means?

Isn't Xinmatai short for Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand? Not cutting-edge science, nor fashionable knowledge. People who like to travel certainly know, and people who have no interest and conditions in traveling certainly don't know this similar abbreviation. In my opinion, it is too one-sided to judge whether China is rich or not, and whether the IQ of China people is high or not. There are many similar problems, such as "reform", "May 4th 3rd", "Five Ones" and "closing the work committee". How many people fully understand what they mean?
