At the end of the day, the teachers are too busy to talk with you.

The key point is that we only have one week in each subject. How can teachers find you in the shortest time? As far as my personal experience is concerned, there are two ways.

first of all, it's amazing. If you can actively explain your own understanding and opinions on a common disease of undergraduate course, it is difficult to speak thoroughly, deeply and accurately; Moreover, if you can answer the questions raised by the teacher in the ward round in time and correctly, even if the analysis is not comprehensive enough, the teacher will feel that you are a thinking student, and the teacher will usually be more willing to give lectures to such students. I have a personal experience of this. When I was in the acupuncture ward, my tutor brought a graduate student, a seven-year classmate, two brothers and sisters who were interns in the Second Hospital and a trainee. At the beginning, I was really passive, because it was the first subject, so I was at a loss. The opportunity came by chance. One day, when the director was making rounds, the director suddenly asked what the "four points on the waist" were. This can beat everyone. I happened to have read Professor xxx's book before, and I got it right from memory. Besides, I answered the next few questions correctly. Since that day, my teacher has deeply remembered the existence of my apprentice.

The last method may not be easy to master. It requires a solid and extensive knowledge as the basis, and there is a bit of luck. The next method is what everyone can do, that is, be diligent. As the saying goes, diligence can make up for it. Every teacher will like hard-working students. On my first day in the massage department, I took my teacher to complain and said that the students in our acupuncture college were the least qualified, which made me feel wronged and angry. Later, I learned that a senior in our college followed him as an intern before me, but he was lazy all day and sometimes didn't even go to work. At that time, I made up my mind secretly that I must change my teacher's view of us in a week. So every day I arrive at the consulting room half an hour in advance, and make all the preparations before the teacher goes to work. As soon as the teacher arrives at the consulting room, he can start work. When the teacher is busy, I use the hospital routine I learned in the ward to help him accept some patients, which reduces the workload of the teacher to some extent. In less than a week, the teacher had changed his view of us. On that day, he said happily that we were no worse than interns. Later, when he encountered typical cases, he even took the initiative to call me to see and tell me.

Of course, the premise that the above two methods can work is that you must respect the teachers from the heart, observe discipline and love learning.

Second, it is very important to seize the opportunity and learn actively

. In the hospital, there are many advanced students, doctoral students, graduate students, interns and interns at home and abroad. If you don't actively strive for opportunities, you won't learn anything at all. Of course, there are tricks.

first of all, you can take the initiative to ask for the night shift with the teacher. Because teachers are usually free in the evening, they can have time to give you a small class; If there is a patient who needs to be rescued, you can also see what measures the teacher takes and how to use drugs in an emergency. These are the comprehensive application of multidisciplinary knowledge, which is a valuable learning opportunity for every medical student. Of course, there are many advantages to working at night, which you need to explore slowly by yourself.

Secondly, if your teacher is really too busy, don't ask the teacher for everything. In fact, there are many good teachers in the ward, that is, doctors and graduate students. When I was a trainee in cardiology, I had two graduate "teachers". They had solid basic knowledge and strong hands-on ability. More importantly, they had time, patience and were willing to give you lectures. During that time, I was greatly inspired.

third, grasp the learning content

I was confused myself at that time, and it was only after I got to the oncology department that the teacher who took me woke up the dreamer. He told me that in fact, in addition to seeing more diseases in the ward, it is very helpful for us to learn from the teacher's doctor's advice, how to open the laboratory list, and even just remember the names of drugs. I didn't wake up like a dream. Before that, I really didn't know much about this except my hands-on ability. Also, in the ward, a patient often has several diseases. As long as you can grasp them well and review them carefully, you can learn knowledge. When I was in the sixth grade, a child was admitted to the hospital because of mumps complicated with orchitis and viral myocarditis. Only taking him as a patient, I mastered the common signs of these three diseases, and I was very impressed by the combination of theory and practice. This is unmatched by pure theoretical study in school before. Similar examples are too numerous to mention. As long as you have a good grasp of it, you can learn everywhere in the hospital and have opportunities to learn everywhere. The whole process is as follows: patients register at the registration office first, or make an appointment by telephone or internet, and then wait in line outside the corresponding clinic, and then enter the clinic for a doctor's consultation when it is their turn; Then the doctor will carefully ask the patient about various situations and make a preliminary diagnosis, and remind the patient to pay for the necessary examination; After the patient comes back from the examination, the doctor will make a further diagnosis according to the examination, and finally prescribe medicine or advise the patient to have an operation, and the doctor will tell the patient some medical advice. If a patient needs to be hospitalized and there are spare beds in the hospital, the doctor will arrange for the patient to be hospitalized. When the patient goes for a check-up, the doctor will continue to see the patient behind him. during my internship, I realized the importance of communication, the importance of communication and the happiness it brought me. In a more humane society, our doctors have long been concerned not only with diseases, but also with patients' mental health and treat each patient more humanely. After the doctor's consultation, if the patient needs to be transferred to surgery, he will first kindly explain to the patient the necessity and approximate cost of surgery. Not everything is decided by doctors anymore, but more is to comprehensively consider the wishes of patients and respect their choices. We have been trained in different outpatient departments, and the doctors in the internal medicine clinic impressed us the most. Internal medicine patients are generally uncomfortable, sometimes vomiting, coma, etc., so physicians need to have greater psychological endurance and take adequate preventive measures. This internship is undoubtedly far-reaching for our freshmen. We get rid of the old habit that we only know the theoretical knowledge of textbooks before we can get in touch with patients. In the first week of entering the prosthodontics department, the teachers instilled in us the service concept of "serving patients and treating patients as their relatives", and also taught us that as a doctor, we should also have the awareness and skills of self-protection. Some students always receive active work, while others always receive fixed work, so the students are nicknamed "fixed group" or "activity group". Because of the characteristics of the restoration work itself, many patients need periodontal or dental treatment first, so many patients just check and leave, which is really a disadvantage for us who only have 9 weeks.

It would be great if the clinic time and chair seats could be increased in the future practice. In the rotation of three groups, we spend one day in the mechanic's room every day and a half, making dentures for patients. Because of the limited time in the previous internship, I basically learned the basic production procedures, but I have to make more efforts to do it well. Whenever we encounter problems, Teacher xxx always takes pains to explain them to us and often works overtime, just to make our dentures better and make us progress faster. We are very grateful to him for insisting on working even though he is sick and has a fever. During the time in the mechanic room, everyone helped each other and made progress. In the first week and the second week, the students basically didn't receive any work, so they have plenty of time. From the first day we entered the restoration, we began to face challenges, and we gained new gains and found new problems every day. So we actively summarized and exchanged ideas among students, so that we could share our experiences and encourage each other. In the summative lecture, students discuss the existing problems with the teacher; In the class of case discussion, students learn from each other by looking up information, talking about opinions and teaching about complex diseases. If we can increase the number of small lectures, it doesn't take a long time at a time, just ten to fifteen minutes, and summarize the problems that appear every day in time, the students will make faster progress.

During my five-week internship, what I feel most is that there is still a long way to go between clinical practice and book knowledge. How to integrate book knowledge with clinical practice and make use of it flexibly still needs a long learning process. Teachers are our guides, and their operational experience is our precious wealth. Being good at learning from teachers in clinic is the only way for us to grow rapidly.

five weeks of dental practice is only the beginning of our practice. We are still immature, and we need teachers' advice and guidance, but we have a firm heart.
