In the eyes of many adults, monsters are villains, but in the hearts of children, they are just the opposite. Monsters are magical and lovely, and they are deeply loved by children. In many children's books, stories and cartoons, the image of monsters is very common. Like good friends, they accompany their children through a childhood full of whimsy. For example, in the classic monster-themed cartoons monsters university and Monster Power Company, there are a group of weird-looking monsters. Not only are they not terrible, but they sprout, giving the audience joy and emotion. In the eyes of children, monsters are more powerful than humans and small animals around them. They exist in children's imaginary world like heroes: some of these monsters can breathe fire, some can fly, some can be invisible, and some are extremely powerful ..... Aren't they cool? Monsters have no fixed shape. They can exist in children's minds in any strange way, such as many eyes, long tentacles, various colors of skin and so on. They are powerful, interesting and magical. So what special monsters live in your heart? The modern version of Illustrated Monster Story has changed from writing a book to drawing a portrait of an artist, just for the sake of 100 monsters. Some people say that we are a country without myths. I don't agree. On the contrary, our fairy tales have a long history, and our myths have never died out. As Mr. Yuan Ke, a master of contemporary China mythology, said, "Myths have not disappeared, and new ones are still being born."
Speaking of myths, besides the miraculous deities, buddhas and demons in The Journey to the West, the most striking thing is the monsters in Strange Tales from a Lonely Studio. They are evil and fierce, or kind in nature, but because they are monsters, they are often not tolerated by the world.
Every time I see such a scene, I feel infinite regret Why not let the good demon live in the world?
I believe many people, like me, like to see stories and legends of goblins and ghosts, so when did our monster story begin?
Zhang Yun, the author of China Monster Story, told us that the monster story in China can be traced back to the Stone Age at the earliest, and the monster story and the monster story culture developed in step with our civilization. It is no exaggeration to say that we have a monster history of 10 thousand years.
However, we have such a long history of monster culture, but there are not many ancient books devoted to recording these monster cultures, except such famous books or classical novels as Shan Hai Jing, Search for Ji Shen, Map of Bai Ze, Romance of Shen Feng, Strange Tales from a Lonely Studio and The Journey to the West. But these are just nine hairs in Niu Yi's various works.
Such a monster story, which is deeply loved by everyone, doesn't have many ways to spread. It was even banned for a time, and even some children would mistake our native monster for Japan. But it also proves from the side that China's monster story has a great influence not only on China people, but also on Japanese people.
Shigeru Mizuki, a famous Japanese monster research scholar, once said that if Japanese monsters can be traced back, 70% are from China, 20% are from India, and only 10% are Japanese monsters.
Sadly, however, local monsters are mistaken for outsiders. Therefore, Zhang Yun, the owner of Soushen Pavilion, who is obsessed with monsters, spent ten years collecting a large number of monster classics, looking for stories and sources of monsters, ghosts and monsters, redefining our monsters and writing a book "China Monster Story".
There are 1080 monsters collected in The Biography of the Monsters in China, which contains all the monsters we have heard and those we have never heard of. It is the most complete monster pedigree in history. Unfortunately, there are no illustrations in this amazing book, so readers can't see the strange appearance they like, and it's hard to imagine the appearance of these 1080 monsters out of thin air.
So Zhang Yun, the author, and Miao Jiu, a modern illustrator, selected 100 monsters on the basis of The Monster Story of China, made a special portrait, and combined today's The Monster Story of China for a long time.
This book has selected 100 monster stories with profound meanings, which are divided into four categories: monsters, utensils, plants and animals. Each book featured 25 monsters, drawn by illustrator Miao Jiu, which is a modern version of "Illusory Picture Book". Every monster has a portrait in this picture book. In Miao Jiu's works, these monsters are lifelike, lifelike and full of national flavor.
I like the illustrations of measuring snakes best, not because they are beautiful, but because they are lively and interesting. Deng Jia, the demon catcher in the painting, has an orderly and lifelike expression compared with the snake king in height, and the smiling face on his mouth is vivid and interesting. And next to the snake that vowed to defeat Deng Jia, it showed the momentum of the snake king incisively and vividly with its arrogant expression and charming eyes. Especially the snake king's eyes, which always make him look happy, make this scary beast look very cute.
Most of the stories of monsters selected in the long-standing Tale of China Monsters are short and pithy, interesting and meaningful, while the illustrations are exquisite and vivid, pleasing to the eye and complement each other, showing readers vivid stories of monsters. The ingenious combination of wonderful stories and exquisite illustrations makes people fondle it.
Another example is "The Messenger of Dongcang", the opening of "Animals", which tells the story of a mouse helping a widowed old lady who lives by begging. But the help of the mousetrap was based on stealing other people's finances, but the old lady did not stop it, but accepted its help with a clear conscience, until one day the neighbor found the clue and borrowed a spell from the Taoist priest to get rid of the mousetrap, and the old lady became a beggar again.
Although the story is only a short one thousand words, it is quite interesting. When I first started reading, I felt sorry for the tragic death of the mouse. Obviously helping people, the world will not tolerate it. Pause for a few seconds and think that this is called helping others, but it is actually stealing and shameful behavior. Pause for a few seconds, all the original sins are an old lady who has no life. If it weren't for her, the rat poison wouldn't have been killed. After a few seconds, I suddenly realized that this is just human nature. Small is small, there is no right or wrong, small is good and small is evil, there is no good or evil, everyone has different views because of their different positions.
There are many such profound stories in the book. Monsters also have stories of good and evil, warning the evil of human nature or preaching the good of human nature. They are very suitable for reading in leisure time, and are also suitable for reading with children as picture books.
As the saying goes, "no matter who you are during the day, you will harm others; There are no ghosts in the dark night, and it is strange to say that ghosts are also strange. " But some people don't believe this evil. They stubbornly made biographies and portraits of monsters and left us wonderful stories about monsters.
For example, Pu Songling, for example, Zhang Yun, the author of "The Story of the Monster I have read for a long time", is a timid person. He is afraid of ghosts, but he loves monsters like life.
How to draw simple and funny monsters varies from person to person. Here are some simple and funny monsters:
