What are the parameters of an audio amplifier?

General audio power amplifiers have the following parameters:

Rated power, also called effective power: usually the power measured when the distortion is 1 under the rated load (such as 4 ohms).

Distortion is a measure of the distortion produced by the amplifier when amplifying the signal. The smaller the parameter, the better.

As for the number of channels, a common stereo amplifier has two channels, a 5.1 home theater has 6 channels, and a 2.1 multimedia speaker has 3 channels.

Frequency response refers to the frequency range that the power amplifier can amplify the signal, which must at least meet the 20-20KHz range of the human ear. A good power amplifier can reach 100KHz.

Signal-to-noise ratio is the ratio of signal to noise. All power amplifiers themselves will produce noise, and the noise should be as small as possible, which means that the signal-to-noise ratio should be as high as possible.

Input sensitivity refers to how much input signal can cause the power amplifier to output rated power. This parameter is good if it is moderate. If it is too high, it will easily cause noise. If it is too low, the power amplifier will not be able to output the rated power.

Channel separation refers to the degree of separation between channels in a multi-channel power amplifier. If this parameter is low, it will cause crosstalk between channels. The higher the better.

The working voltage is 220V 50Hz AC in China. If it is a car power supply, it is divided into 12V and 24V.

The channel balance refers to the difference between the channels. . For example, for a two-channel power amplifier, it is natural to hope that the parameters of the two channels are exactly the same. However, due to component errors, it is impossible to achieve the same. This parameter is used to describe this difference, and the smaller the better.
