"Qin Opera"

I once liked northwest literature very much, including Jia Pingwa's "Qin Opera" and "Abandoned Capital", as well as Lu Yao's "The Ordinary World" and Liu Qing's "History of Entrepreneurship" by Liu Qing, who is far away from me. People who like this generous land always have the smell of fireworks and fight to the death with something called life, never ending.

When I saw this book in the school library, I just picked it up because of Jia Pingwa's name. It turns out that I really like it. There are so many characters in it, and this is a long novel, so even after I finished reading the novel, I still couldn’t remember everyone’s names and the relationships between them. It mainly focuses on the Xia family, so I also created a character relationship diagram based on the Xia family.

But what impressed me most after reading this novel is probably "I" Qin Sheng. In the eyes of others, he is a madman who often gets sick, and his body is not completely healthy, but , it just so happens that the words coming from this lunatic’s mouth make people feel less abrupt, because he is a lunatic.

Qin Opera is just a clue in this novel, using the demise of Qin Opera to hint at where rural life should go. "Qin Opera" sensitively captures the emotions of the times during the period of social transformation and the great changes in the countryside. It is an elegy for the disappearing countryside and an important work of epic significance in writing about contemporary Chinese rural areas. It only uses one aspect and one local change to describe the entire rural situation in China. This is a task that some people cannot complete even if they spend their whole lives, such as Xia Yi’s obsession with Qiligou and Xia Zhi’s love for Qin Opera. These tasks cannot be completed by one person or a generation alone. It must take generations. It is a matter of a generation working together.

This Qingfeng Street was the epitome of rural China at that time, where all the humanities and sophistication were present. It didn't impress me very much, but I know that every era should record the classics of each era, but they only exist in that era.
