Why do goats climb trees?

Due to the lack of grass food in desert areas, goats can only climb trees and eat leaves in order to make a living.

Near the town of Darudan in Morocco, it is a strange phenomenon for goats to climb trees. The local climate is hot and short of water, so goats have developed the ability to climb trees in order to eat the fruits on the trees. This kind of tree is called Algan tree, which can be as high as 8 to 10 meter.

The goat on the tree not only brings rich local tourism resources, but also the feces of the goat on the tree is a fortune. Because goats can't fully digest the fruits of these trees, they will leave stones in their feces. Local farmers can collect these stones after goats excrete or spit them out, and then use them as raw materials for cooking oil or cosmetics.
