Ovarian cyst

The vast majority of patients with ovarian cysts can have children, but only a small number of ovarian cysts, namely endometriosis cysts, can affect female fertility. There are many types of ovarian cysts, as follows:

1. Physiological ovarian cysts: Common in the second half of menstruation, that is, corpus luteum cysts in women after ovulation. They appear as echoless during ovarian ultrasound examination after ovulation. In most women, the cysts will disappear on their own after menstruation. Absorbed, the cyst will disappear after rechecking B-ultrasound after menstruation, so physiological cysts do not affect female fertility;

2. Pathological ovarian cysts: Commonly seen are ovarian endometriosis cysts, namely chocolate cysts , and pelvic inflammatory cysts may all affect female fertility. Pelvic inflammatory cysts are usually cysts formed when the fallopian tubes and ovaries are wrapped by inflammatory secretions. Once the fallopian tubes form adhesions and wraps, and the fimbriae of the fallopian tubes are blocked, the fertilized egg will not be able to run, causing female infertility. Pelvic endometriosis is also a common cause of female infertility.
