Don’t blindly follow others

Another person was about to cross the swamp. When he saw the footprints of the person in front of him, he thought: Someone must have walked here, and it will be correct to follow other people's footprints. He followed the footprints and walked deeper into the swamp, but accidentally stepped into the mud and sank. The third person also wanted to cross the swamp. He looked at the footprints of the people in front of him and thought: So many people have passed by, and I will definitely be able to reach the other end of the swamp by following their footsteps. So he strode away, but in the end he sank into the mud.

This story teaches us a good lesson. After reading it, we can't help but ask: Why are there so many losers in society? Because the person who failed in front blocked the view of the person following behind. If the latter chooses to follow blindly, the consequences will be the same as those of the people in front. The road in the world does not become smoother and smoother the more people take it. If you follow the footsteps of others, you will not only fail to find new ideas, but sometimes you may have to fall into a trap yourself. Some people think that following others no matter what they do is correct and safe. In fact, this is not the case. No one can predict the future. If the first person takes this path and the second and third people blindly follow him, then if the first person fails, the second and third people will suffer the same fate. Moreover, when people behind see so many people taking this path, they will definitely follow suit, hoping to succeed by taking advantage of the path others have taken. The result? The footprints of those in front confuse the vision and plans of those behind, and those behind will only harm themselves in vain.

Doing things is the same as walking. You must create your own route that is different from others. Taking the old path that has been repeated many times by others may not necessarily lead to success. Instead, it may lead you astray and get you into trouble. Therefore, we must learn to innovate. The famous success scholar Napoleon Hill said: "Creativity is the most precious wealth.
