Potala Palace is located on the red hill at an altitude of 3,700 meters in the center of Lhasa. "Potala" is actually a transliteration of the Sanskrit "Putuo", which refers to the island where Guanyin Bodhisattva lives.

Outside the Potala Palace, the floor is 13, which is considered as an auspicious number in Buddhism. Walking in, a heavy sense of vicissitudes arises spontaneously. Potala Palace implements a limited reservation and limited opening system. Visitors who get tickets can visit Potala Palace 1 hour according to the time period specified by the ticket face. This is the sunshine hall. Lhasa is called the city of sunshine, and the Sunshine Hall is on the top floor of the White House, which is the most sunny place.

After entering the Sunlight Temple, there are sacred and solemn palaces, Buddhist temples and stupas. You can't take photos, and you can't wear hats and sunglasses.

After entering the temple, the light suddenly dimmed. Our tour guide is a very responsible, experienced, serious and capable female tour guide. In order to see and understand the history and collection of Potala Palace to the greatest extent, she explained it to us in the car. After entering the temple, she spared no effort to take us to every open place and explain it in detail. She was urged several times by the monk guarding the temple, but the tour guide immediately agreed and led us away with great scruples. She explained: stalling.

In addition to Songzan Gambu and Princess Wencheng, there is also the sixth Dalai Lama Cangyang Gyatso, and other historical figures are little known. Even in these open places, we have seen many cultural relics and amazing treasures.

There are eight pagodas in the Lingta Hall of the Red Palace. Pagodas are the burial places of eminent monks or venerable people after their death. The 5th Dalai Lama Lausanne Gyatso made the greatest contribution to Tibet, and his stupa was also the largest and most exquisite.

The height of the Lingta Temple of the Fifth Dalai Lama is 14.85 meters, and the shape is completely made according to the Bodhi Pagoda. The tower is wrapped in gold. The price of gold on the tower surface is 37,265,438+0 kg (we all remember this figure at the guide's prompt). The tower is inlaid with tens of thousands of pearls, agates, turquoise, red corals and other jewels and jade. Although only the corridor in the hall is illuminated by bright butter lamps, you can also see its glittering golden light, which is very spectacular.

The tour guide said that these gold, silver and jewels were presented by devout believers. They exchanged money from their families for gold, silver and jewels, traveled thousands of miles from all parts of Tibet, even from Gansu, Qinghai and Sichuan, and slept in the wind for months or even years, just to offer their sincerity to the Buddha in Lhasa and pray for the blessing of the afterlife for their own people, families and themselves.

The lighting in the hall is not very good, and the lighting and ventilation are insufficient. I feel quite cold after staying for a long time. Walking out of the temple, I saw the blue sky between heaven and earth, white clouds dancing like snow, wild flowers blooming on the palace wall, and my mood was carefree. I prefer the free and lively nature.

There is a Tibetan saying that "Jokhang Temple comes first, then Lhasa City". Jokhang Temple is as important as Potala Palace in the hearts of Tibetan people. Jokhang Temple is near Potala Palace, about 1.4 km, and it takes 20 minutes to walk. Standing in Potala Palace and looking southeast, there is a golden zone, that is Jokhang Temple.

Relatively speaking, there are more tourists in Potala Palace and more believers in Jokhang Temple.

Lhasa has four turning roads. Among them, the inner ring turns to Jokhang Temple, which is called "Langkuo"; The middle circle turns around Barkhor Street (Bajiao Street) of Jokhang Temple, which is called "Barkhor Street"; The outer ring surrounds the whole city of Lhasa and is called "Lin Kuo". For me, the Potala Palace and Jokhang Temple are to appreciate their grandeur, splendor and sacredness, or to explore their mystery. For believers, they are the existence of God and their hope, but no matter how difficult and dangerous they face in this world, they should go forward and offer a pious place.

I returned to Lhasa from Linzhi and had dinner in a small restaurant at noon. I caught a glimpse of a beggar begging for money at the next table. When he turned to our table, I found that he was different from a beggar-his clothes were worn out, but he was clean. Inch board, tight and dark skin, and very energetic. He is wearing a pair of semi-new sneakers and a wrinkled backpack. He saw a gray stain hanging on his chest and a broken apron.

Really or not? When I look at his face carefully again, although he was bronzed by ultraviolet rays from Tibet, the nearest place to the sun, a dark mark like a birthmark with irregular size of a dollar coin can still be clearly seen in the center of his forehead!

He accepted the travel expenses we gave him with a little shyness and read our blessings again. His teeth are as white as bone China, and his eyes are particularly striking on his dark face, so I no longer doubt that he is really a real pilgrim!

After dinner, we returned to Lhasa. It's time for a nap I close my eyes, but I can't squint. I think of this pilgrim, who has a dark face and bright eyes. I thought he would measure the earth with his forehead in three steps. I thought he didn't know where he came from and how many roads he had traveled. I thought it was hundreds of kilometers to Lhasa. I don't know how many days left. I thought of the hardships along the way and their firm peace. Tears rolled down my eyes involuntarily.

When we laugh at their ignorance, our beliefs are far less firm than theirs; When we think they are stupid, our souls are far less abundant than theirs; When we pity them, our hearts are far from their purity. When we were moved by their piety and firmness, we found that maybe we were stupid and pitiful ourselves. They live a happier, richer and more peaceful life than we do, and they have achieved eternal life spiritually.
