Should henpecked men be praised or despised?

A henpecked man will really give up drinking because of his wife's words "don't drink at night". No matter how people at the dinner table persuade him to drink, he refuses with a smile. "henpecked" means that no matter how many beautiful women are around, he sits still.

Many people think such people are cowards. They have no opinion and dignity. He listens to his wife all day, and he never dares to go west when she tells him to go east. They are weak, and their wives are supreme all day. In their eyes, the wife's words are the imperial edict, and the wife is above everything else. People like them never go against their wives' wishes and let them do whatever they want and come back whenever they want. Never exceed the time and limit set by his wife. Their behavior was laughed at by many people, but they didn't care at all.

In fact, I don't think such a man is incompetent and cowardly. They only listen to their wives out of respect. He regards her above everything else, so he will respect her and obey her. My father is a hen-pecked wife in name only. At home, my mother's words are imperial edicts, and he does whatever my mother tells him to do. I don't think such men are cowards. On the contrary, they are cool. They know how to respect and love their wives. Like my father, he always asks my mother's advice when he goes out to socialize. If I'm not at home, he hardly goes out to socialize.

Why is this? Because my mother has been spoiled by my father in recent years. My mother can't eat well alone, that's why he did it. He won't go out to socialize, but he will have dinner with my mother at home. When socializing, my mother said that you can't drink while driving, so he never drinks. No matter how people try to persuade him, he never drinks. That's because he knows he's out socializing, and my mother has been waiting for him at home. If he drinks or something, my mother will be worried. Maybe he will be criticized by many people behind his back, but I think he is particularly good.

When the couple lived, no one cared about anyone. Only willing or unwilling, if a man is willing to be controlled by his wife, it is not that he is incompetent. He really loves his wife and is willing to lower himself for her.
