Daxiong lives in a villa. Why did you put Doraemon in the closet?

Does the room opposite Nobita's bedroom exist? Under different circumstances, Nobita's family settings are different (detailed later).

Sometimes this room exists, sometimes it doesn't. When it existed, this room was considered by some netizens as grandma's room. But I haven't found the exact evidence yet, so let's call it the "mysterious room".

As shown below (from a website in Taiwan Province Province), on the right is the plan of the second floor of Daxiong's home (restored according to Dashan animation).

The orange part is Nobita's room, the light blue is Doraemon's wardrobe, the yellow is the corridor and stairs, and the purple part is the mysterious room, with the lowest frequency.

Why does Doraemon live in the closet? Why doesn't he sleep in the mystery room?

The answer is simple, the plot needs it.

Doraemon usually sleeps in the closet. Why does the author design this way? In order to facilitate the unfolding of the story.

There will be more drama conflicts between two people in the same room, such as a recurring bridge: Nobita can't sleep and wake up Doraemon (as shown below): Nobita's space development history 198 1 Dashan edition, comic edition, 2009 Paddy edition).

Does that mysterious room usually stay there?

No, it will appear when the plot needs it.

This is the case in the fifth volume of Doraemon MUBI, a short story written by the subject. Daxiong used a lot of gongs to please Doraemon and help him with his homework. He sleeps alone in a mysterious room.

You can see that the mystery room is empty. As can be seen from the picture below, the mysterious room is opposite Nobita's room. Why does Nobita sleep in a mysterious room? Because many stories will happen in his room. If he still sleeps in his room, it will affect the development of the story. Why doesn't Daxiong choose Doraemon's wardrobe to sleep? Because of the plot arrangement, Nobita will hide here the next day. Moreover, in order to cooperate with the story of Daxiong hiding in the closet, Doraemon also slept on the tatami uncharacteristically and did not return to the closet. To sum up, when the plot needs an empty room, the mysterious room appears. I don't need it at ordinary times, so I won't mention this room. Here is an introduction to the animation adapted from Doraemon MUBI. In the Dashan version of the animation, the treatment of this room is the same as that in the cartoon, but the interior of the room is not photographed; In the paddy field animation, because Nobita's room is enlarged, this room does not exist in the new animation. The content of this sentence has also been revised to daxiong sleeping in the corridor.

The following is the digression time: introduce the settings of Daxiong room in different periods.

The picture below shows the general style of Daxiong's room in Doraemon comics (top view).

As you can see, the door of the room is western-style, and the wardrobe where Doraemon sleeps is on the right side of the entrance of the time machine. The bookshelf for comics is on the left side of the door. The picture below is a schematic diagram of Daxiong's room in Dashan Animation (also from the website of Taiwan Province Province). You can see that the door in and out of the room is a Japanese sliding door. The door is on the right side of the drawer where the time machine exit is located. Very different from the comic book setting. Why? 3D reconstruction (I don't know who the author is) turned in one direction and saw Doraemon's sleeping closet opposite the entrance of the time machine.

Why is the room design of the old animation so different from that of comics? Personal guess should be based on the cost consideration of animation production.

The old version of the animation appeared in Nobita's room with basically the same background. Most characters enter through the sliding door on the right and go directly to the left to participate in the plot development. Several key props: door, writing desk (entrance to the time machine), window, bookshelf, and a lens can be put in. The lens does not need to be rotated except for translation, which is a good way to save costs for early animation. As shown below ([1986] screenshot of Nobita and Iron Man Corps), in the new animation, Nobita's room design basically restored the appearance of comics, the entrance of the time machine, the wardrobe where Doraemon sleeps, the bookshelf where comics are placed, and the western-style door are all consistent with the original positions. There is a window and two small cabinets on the left side of the room, and the room area is also very large. The following picture ([2007] screenshot of Nobita's new underworld adventure) 3D picture ([2065 438+04] screenshot of Doraemon standing beside me)

The reason for restoring the design of comics is that computers are widely used in animation, the application of lenses is more free, and the choice of backgrounds can be flexible and diverse.

The following is a comparison of the layout of the second floor of Daxiong's house in Dashan animation, comic book and paddy field animation (Dashan animation comes from the website of Taiwan Province Province, and I imitated the two on the right).

There are still many questions about the room in Doraemon, such as

mention

Which room do Nobita's parents sleep in? In Dashan animation, Daxiong's parents have their own bedrooms. (Image from the website of Taiwan Province Province) 1993 "Ursa Major and the Platinum Labyrinth", at first, my father fell asleep watching TV in the living room, and my mother got up in her pajamas at night.

But in comics and paddy animation, Nobita's parents sleep in the living room. The living room is a room with a square table and a TV. The living room takes into account the functions of parents' bedroom and living room in comics and paddy field animation. In this way, there is no sense of existence in the living room.

Next, in 2008, Nobita's New Adventures in the Demon World, parents woke up and ran out of the living room. Comparing the above and below pictures, the direction of stairs in the two designs is different. The following is 20 14 "The New Big Male Demon Field". As you can see, there is also a sliding door in the living room. I wonder if it's the original bedroom. By the way, speaking of grandma's room, Dashan and Paddy both have a special article "Grandma's Memory", in which grandma's room is on the first floor.

Dashan version should be the bedroom on the first floor, and Paddy version is the living room. Whose room is on the second floor?

In fact, many works have a very useful role/prop, which is only set occasionally.

For example, Bai, the Tang Priest's mount in The Journey to the West, is also a tough guy who can compete with the Monkey King. Why does he almost never participate in the dialogue between master and apprentice, or fight monsters to save master?
