Military uniform joke

In the Qing Dynasty, their armies were generally divided into "soldiers" and "brave". Although they all served the Qing dynasty, the welfare benefits were very different. The reason for this difference is that the roots of "soldiers and brave" are different.

In the film and television dramas of the Qing dynasty, the troops with the word "soldier" printed on them are the relatives of the emperor and the country. The emperor shunzhi entered the customs and formally ruled the Central Plains. The credit mainly came from their Manchu army and the Eight Banners army.

Many friends mistakenly think that it is the famous Eight Banners Army in Qing Dynasty, and it bears the name of "soldier". It's actually wrong. The Eight Banners Army was the first minister in the Qing Dynasty to unify the Ming Dynasty. When the Eight Banners were formed, the owners of the Eight Banners were several adult sons and brothers of the old Khan King Nurhachi. These "Eight Banners" are all riding big horses and wearing armor of the same color as this flag. They belong to the aristocratic forces of the imperial court and are nobles in the imperial group. Therefore, the Eight Banners did not even put down their identity, so they crossed the military uniform in the name of "soldier". Not a "soldier" of the Qing Dynasty.

The so-called "soldiers" in the Qing dynasty, that is, after the Manchu entered the customs, the soldiers of the Eight Banners Army who were pure Manchu descent were not enough. In order to strengthen the rule and management of Jiangshan, the Qing court was forced to re-establish a regular fighting force of the imperial court-"green camp".

In fact, the source of "green camp" mainly comes from the Ming army that surrendered before Ming Dynasty and some conscripted able men. They are Han Chinese, the Han army in the hands of the Qing Dynasty. Soldiers in green camp are as brave as the Eight Banners. "green camp" and "Eight Banners" fought side by side to wipe out the small court in Nanming and the rebellion in Wu Sangui. They made outstanding achievements and were deeply loved by the Emperor of Heaven.

However, "green camp" is not of Manchu descent after all. Although they all belong to the royal family and the country, their contributions are often rejected by the princes and ministers of the Qing Dynasty. In the reality of the Qing dynasty, they were treated harshly. The soldiers of "green camp" dressed as "soldiers" are also regular troops of the imperial court, and their munitions, food and grass are basically distributed in place on time, but their welfare benefits are not as good as those of the Eight Banners.

When it comes to the most shabby soldiers in the Qing Dynasty, they are nothing more than brave men dressed in "courage".

In fact, the "Yong" soldiers were not directly recruited by the Qing court. When Yong first appeared, we called him Xiang Yong. The so-called "Xiang Yong" actually means a soldier in his hometown. To put it bluntly, the "Yong" of the Qing Dynasty was the local armed forces, and it was a barracks soldier recruited by the local government and the overseers in this province.

Many people think that the "brave" in the Qing Dynasty are the most indiscriminate and scattered soldiers, but this is actually wrong. During the pacification of the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom in the Qing Dynasty, neither the Eight Banners nor green camp nor the imperial nobles won the battle with the hairy Taiping Army, but Zeng Guofan's fragrant Xiang Yong stood out and won again and again. Then, the Qing court was impressed by the brave soldiers.

Although "Yong" has repeatedly made new contributions, it belongs to local recruitment to protect local public security and peace. Therefore, the "Yong" soldiers did not get the "care" of the court, and from the establishment, "Yong" did not belong to the official troops of the court. Therefore, all the expenses and benefits of the "brave" soldiers are completely solved and distributed by the local government. Because the sky is high and the emperor is far away, coupled with local corruption, it is difficult to get the pay of the "brave" soldiers, and even the military uniform of the word "brave" has not been issued in place. We often see some "brave soldiers" wearing patchwork clothes in film and television dramas, which is not the deliberate irony and joke of the crew. In fact, this was real in the society and environment at that time, and we can also see the shabby situation of this "brave" from some precious old photos.

Some people say that in the Qing Dynasty, Yong was "afraid" of soldiers. In fact, this "fear" is only the inferiority complex of brave soldiers in an unequal position. And really on the battlefield, the performance of "Yong" is not inferior to that of "Bing"!

In fact, in the face of the huge gap between them, "courage" can only bury their inner unwillingness, and the only way for them to change their low status is to match the word "courage" on their uniforms with their bravery in battle, so that their exploits and blood are worse than those of "soldiers"!
