We cannot listen to those who don’t believe in us, and we cannot completely believe those who believe in us. Some friends may not agree with this statement, but we must have our own understanding.

When people talk too much and spread rumors, the truth of the matter will be covered up. If you don't discern, you will be deceived. There are many people around us who believe in the rumors. From big national events to small personal matters, there are always some baseless rumors, and there are always some people who are gullible and fall for them. As a result, you will add trouble to yourself out of thin air, or cause greater disasters.

There is a story in "Liezi Greed": Once upon a time, King Hui of Qin prepared to attack Shu, but the road to Shu was difficult and the attack was not easy. There was a prince of Shu who was greedy and credulous by nature. King Qin Hui heard that the prince of Shu had this characteristic, so he chiseled a stone cow, filled the stone cow with gold and silver jewelry, and claimed that it was born from a stone cow. I want to give it to Shu. The Marquis of Shu actually believed it. The cabinet sent people to build a road to welcome the stone cow. As a result, the Qin army was able to march straight in and destroy Shu in one fell swoop.

Worldly affairs, truth and falsehood, phenomenon and essence, what is said and done, what is light and what is dark, may sometimes be exactly the opposite. In the world, some people tell jokes as the truth, some people tell the truth as jokes, and some people tell jokes for the sake of telling jokes, and some even tell the truth or lie, so we must be aware of this.

Some people heard Zhang San say: "Li Si said something bad about you." They immediately believed it and came to ask for help. Or listen to Li Si say: "I said a few kind words for you in front of the leader." Then he immediately expressed gratitude to Li Si. The fatal weakness of these people is that they never think about whether what others say is reasonable and realistic, let alone do some research to see whether it is true or false. They have completely lost their ability to distinguish things, as if their heads are on other people's shoulders, and everything is done according to other people's instructions. In this case, how can you not suffer losses?

It seems that it is better not to blindly listen to what others say, otherwise, you may suffer financial, work and other losses.
