Meditators must thoroughly practice the Eight Meanings, because liberation comes from it, and troubles are mainly eliminated from it.

Greed, anger and ignorance are called "the roots of three evils" and are the root of all evil laws. Practicing the Eight Righteousness can completely eradicate greed, anger and delusion, and get the fruits of nirvana liberation. Righteousness is the first and the most important of the eight right paths. Righteousness is often compared to "eyes" in scriptures, which enables practitioners to establish correct knowledge and thus tend to a kind and liberated life direction. When the yogi establishes the "right eye", it will lead to the birth of the other seven right paths in turn and move in the right direction of life.

It refers to a correct understanding of the four noble truths of "Suffering and Eliminating Tao", which are the core of the whole Southern Buddhism doctrine.

Suffering-there are many different levels of content such as "impermanence, defects and pain". Buddhism says that all life is bitter, which means that all life is impermanent and has no reality; With defects and no dominance, you will encounter all kinds of sad and distressed things. This is the first truth of life.

Setting-Point out the source of pain. Whether it is all kinds of sufferings or the driving force of the cycle of life and death, the fundamental reason is that there are three unhealthy roots in the heart-greed, resentment and delusion. This is the second truth of life.

Eliminate-eliminate greed, resentment and stupidity, and all kinds of pain will stop. This is the third truth of life.

Tao-cultivating the eight right paths can cure greed, anger and delusion, which is the fourth greatest truth in life.

Anyone, whether he is a monk or at home, has a clear eye when he has a correct view of the way to get rid of suffering and has no doubts, that is, he can "join the flow of saints"-he can step into the eight right paths of enlightenment and liberation and keep moving forward without getting lost. When he meets the troubles of life, he will not be trapped in distress and complaints, but will accept and solve difficulties frankly and become eccentric in this kind of life. When he meets happy things in life, he will not get lost in happiness, nor will he have endless love and persistence. On the contrary, he understands that all emotions are impermanent, and there is no reality or Heng Chang. He can gradually get rid of bitterness, greed, resentment and stupidity.

In fact, any form of life shows us the truth of the four noble truths all the time, while those who do not suffer injustice are unaware of it and can only be trapped in greed, resentment and delusion for a long time. And a person who sees the truth and kills the Tao will constantly remind himself of the truth in his life, and his life will become a place to practice the Eight Righteousnesses, and his life will continue to advance.

According to the scripture, even if a right-looking person can't completely practice in this life, he will continue to practice in the next life until he completely completes his Tao career and reaches nirvana. At the same time, in the future reincarnation, I will only be reborn in the good way of man and nature, and I will decide not to fall into three evil ways: hungry ghost, beast and hell. Mindfulness is: analysis, selection, understanding, comparison and decision corresponding to the four noble truths.

The four noble truths are a truth of life. If a person is born with a correct view, his life, life, fate and everything related to life are all teaching materials to deepen his understanding of life wisdom; Naturally, the analysis, selection, understanding, comparison and decision corresponding to the four noble truths were made.

Therefore, the emergence of positive thinking will naturally lead to the emergence of positive thinking, so that people can establish a correct outlook on life and a correct ambition in life-to understand that life is bitter and to achieve liberation as the goal; If you have positive thoughts-correct aspirations, you will definitely put your aspirations into practice and continue to study the right path in other disciplines-positive language, positive career, positive life, positive diligence, positive thoughts and positive determination to complete the Tao cause. Therefore, the role of mindfulness is: connecting mindfulness forward, and backward is a kind of motivation, which enables people to start practicing the Six Righteousnesses after practicing. Orthodoxy is the correct language to speak, and its content is to stay away from falsehood, two tongues, bad mouths and strange words-"four evils of mouth"

The practice of orthography can purify our oral life and make our language sincere, honest, gentle and beneficial to others. Righteousness is the correct behavior, its content is to stay away from killing, stealing and lewdness-"three evils of the body", so that our bodies can benefit others without harming others.

Killing-intentionally killing or hurting human life and the life of any sentient beings.

Stealing-deliberately taking things that do not belong to you, including smuggling, tax evasion, extortion, destruction of public property and so on.

Prostitution-refers to sexual behavior. People who live a monk's life stay away from all sexual activities; People who live at home stay away from lewdness that infringes on women and damages their virginity. Righteousness is the right way to make a living. Family life refers to making a living by a proper occupation and staying away from occupations that violate "three evils of body" and "four evils of mouth".

The three right paths, namely, righteousness, righteousness and righteousness, constitute abstinence from learning. In abstaining from learning, we should not only not do these bad behaviors, but also have the power to dislike, praise, be alert, restrain and resist these bad behaviors. In the Buddhist scriptures, the Buddha told the Brahmin elders to stay away from the three evils of the body and the four evils of the mouth. This is based on the principle of pushing yourself and others. If people keep the precepts and believe in the three treasures of Buddhism, they can bear the first fruit. Diligence in Buddhism is "corresponding, appropriate and skillful", and it is not so diligent. This belongs to the category of fixed learning, and it is to make appropriate efforts for the improvement of the mind. Its content can be divided into four different aspects of diligence:

The standard of diligence varies from person to person, and everyone is different. Generally speaking, as long as it can bring joy and continuous progress, such diligence is the standard that suits you. Pali means "attachment, never forgetting, constant awareness, concern" and so on. Mindfulness is continuous awareness corresponding to the four noble truths, awareness of body, mind, mind and dharma. The purpose is to truly understand life and the truth of life, so as to bring tangible benefits to life. Because people's spiritual quality is the highest among all living beings. People have the conditions to know the truth of life with their own abilities, so as to purify themselves and clear their troubles. Southern Buddhism's meditation is different from all other meditation methods because it attaches great importance to the practice of mindfulness. Therefore, mindfulness is very important in the Eighth Path.

Ordinary people's hearts are often attached to five desires-color, sound, fragrance and touch, so they are often bound by desires. Practicing mindfulness means always focusing on the four thoughts-body, mind, mind and dharma, which can increase wisdom. In the classics, Si Nian Chu is compared to "all the way" and "the only way", meaning that Si Nian Chu is the only way to get rid of it. It is also said in the scriptures that you can get three fruits and four fruits by practicing four thoughts. Before his demise, the Buddha taught his disciples to be "self-reliant, law-abiding and without distinction". It means to illuminate yourself with yourself as a lighthouse and to illuminate yourself with Buddhism as a lighthouse. Besides, nothing can illuminate yourself. The Buddha further pointed out that practicing the Four Minds means self-reliance, abiding by the law and making no difference.

Mindfulness is to be more aware of the body and mind, because if you are more aware, you will naturally know more about it. There is no need to look for the truth of life, and the phenomena and reasons of life are in your own body and mind. If you can have the wisdom of personal witness, all kinds of troubles such as greed, resentment, ignorance, longing for love, inversion and persistence will be gradually alleviated or even completely eliminated.

When persistence begins to ease, you can personally experience the freedom brought by "letting go". At the same time, knowing that "I am slow and I am self-centered" is really a heavy burden in life. In addition, mindfulness of the impermanence of the body can also make people understand the preciousness of time, so cherish time and practice hard.

Mindfulness is the breath of the body-in and out of the mind. We can use breathing to cultivate mindfulness-the ability of continuous awareness; Cultivate positive definite-the ability to live in one place and in the present; Cultivate wisdom-with constant breathing and constant change, we realize the impermanence and unrealistic truth of life.

Mindfulness is about all kinds of impurities in the body-cultivating an ability to observe things objectively and comprehensively. The body has both attractive and disgusting aspects. When we no longer observe the body unilaterally according to our hobbies, it is easy to know that the body is full of unclean things, which is disgusting. This can control your love for yourself and the love for the opposite sex.

Pay attention to how you treat your feelings-observe whether your pain further brings anger, tension, sadness, sadness and other emotions; Do you bring further love and persistence because of pleasure, so that you can constantly pursue pleasure, or you are annoyed because you can still grasp pleasure; Observe whether it can reduce the influence of being felt and give it a feeling that "feeling is feeling".

One of the characteristics of ordinary people is that they pursue pleasure all their lives and refuse suffering. Buddhism calls this behavior of pursuing pleasure and refusing suffering "love" or "longing for love". The longing for love makes life miserable and is also the driving force of life and death. The Arahant saint has no desire for love, but has feelings. Arahant saints do not need to destroy feelings, escape feelings, suppress feelings, and are not numb to feelings. They just respond appropriately to their feelings as needed (for example, when meditation brings physical pain for too long, they change their posture to meditate, and so on). ), and their response to feelings is not because of the desire for love (for example, when desire arises, they can't observe and reflect, but can only satisfy it, and so on. ).

The birth and death of mindfulness is impermanent.

Mindfulness is in the present state of mind-when a person's heart is bound by greed, resentment and stupidity, he realizes that his heart is bound by greed and ignorance; When a person's heart can be freed from greed, resentment and stupidity, he can realize that his heart can be freed from greed and stupidity. Through further observation of mindfulness, we can deeply understand that greed and ignorance are bitter things, and the more greedy and ignorant people are, the more bitter they are. It can also be understood that people have the ability to reduce or even completely get rid of greed and ignorance and develop the wisdom of liberation in depth.

The Pali language of "law" means "correctness, things, rules of things, objects of meaning, Buddhist teachings, laws in society" and so on. In the Pali language "Da Nian Jing Chu", when it comes to the quiet early days of Fa Nian, all Buddhist teachings are listed, including * * * including five covers, five aggregates, twelve places, ten knots, seven senses, four noble truths and eight right paths.

Mindfulness lies in five aggregates-five aggregates are the analysis of life, which means "composition". Life is a combination of color (body), feeling (feeling), thinking (impression, concept), behavior (motivation, intention) and cognition (mind). Wu Yun's analysis only subdivides the heart into four different functions. Mindfulness in the five elements is to observe the three real faces of life: impermanence, bitterness and selflessness. Impermanence refers to each of the five aggregates. Our life and even everything in the world are changing, and there is no constancy. Suffering refers to each of the five aggregates. Our life and even everything in the world are flawed, incomplete and bitter. Non-ego refers to each of the five aggregates, and our life and even everything in the world are not real and absolutely dominant. These three aspects are the three real aspects of all life and even everything in the world, but ordinary people are always unwilling to face this fact because of their ignorance. Even if a few people face this fact, there is no correct way to completely solve the hardships of life. When we begin to meditate on the five elements and three phases, our various desires and persistence will begin to weaken; Egocentricity will weaken; All kinds of troubles in life will also begin to weaken. When this observation is mature, we can deeply understand that this practice method is the correct direction to eliminate pain; Only through such practice can birth, aging, illness, death, worry, sadness, suffering and annoyance stop completely.

Mindfulness lies in twelve places-twelve places is an analysis of life and things in the world from another angle, which is divided into six places-eyes, ears, nose, tongue, body and heart; Outside six places-color, sound, fragrance, touch, * * * twelve things. The relationship between them is as follows:

Therefore, observing twelve places can help us understand where greed, anger and infatuation originated and where we have made great efforts to eradicate greed and infatuation. Because the emergence of greed and ignorance is related to six ways and six touches, but to treat greed and ignorance is not to escape from the outside world or from thoughts, but to face the environment, thoughts and hearts with mindfulness. All kinds of external conditions, all kinds of ideas about impermanence of life and death, six impermanence, bitterness and selflessness, and their true colors of impermanence of life and death. If you can understand this, you will not cling to these things, and at the same time you will not be bound by them, and life will be comfortable and cool.

Mindfulness lies in ten knots-ten knots are the ten knots that bind all beings in the world to life and death. They are "five knots-seeing, abstinence, doubt, greed and resentment"; "Knot five points-greed in the color world, greed in the color world, slower than me, no lifting, ignorance."

Buddhism points out that body and mind are endless movements, but they depend on karma. When we understand this, we will get rid of the ordinary and the broken, that is, the matter and the knot.

Abstinence-here, "abstinence" refers to practice, and "abstinence" refers to persistence, that is, stubbornly clinging to incorrect practice methods. If we can treat our religious teachings objectively and openly, seek knowledge and verify, and practice with this attitude, we will break the precepts and get a conclusion.

Doubt-doubt about the four noble truths. If we can have a correct understanding of the four noble truths, we can get rid of doubts.

Greed-greed for color, sound, taste and touch. Cultivating the Eight Righteousnesses can cure greed and resentment. To get rid of greed and resentment completely, we must rely on meditation and wisdom.

Anger-anger, resentment, hostility, etc.

The sages of Buddhism spreading to the south are divided into four levels from low to high: first fruit, second fruit, third fruit and fourth fruit. The reason why they can become saints at all levels is to see which constraints they have weakened or broken.

Ten knots mindfulness-understand that ten knots are things that bind people and start treatment. By observing what constraints you can weaken or break, you can know your practice process in the Eighth Route.

Through these exercises, we will keep our hearts balanced, stable, strong and clear.

Read the four noble truths and the eight right paths-the four noble truths are the truth of life, and we can observe the bitterness of life and destroy the Tao; In the process of practicing the Eight Meanings, we can gradually and deeply realize the bitter way. The Buddha encouraged his disciples to practice in an objective, open, knowledgeable and exemplary way. Through this study, we gradually know the four noble truths and understand that the Eighth Route is different from other religions in the world. Eight meanings is a way of life, a way to understand life correctly, purify life highly, and get rid of troubles, sadness, pain and troubles completely. Zhengding in the Eighth Route mainly refers to the four levels of Yi Chan, Second Zen, Third Zen and Fourth Zen. It is called positive definite because it corresponds to the four noble truths.

Positive definite is the last of the eight right paths. Just like other right paths, this is a simple and profound practice. If a monk successfully practices all the contents of the Eight Path, he can break all the ties and prove that Arhat grosvenor.

Although people who live at home are amateurs, they can follow the content of every right path and try their best to practice it, so as to live a happy, meaningful and purified life and lead to enlightenment and liberation.
