Traditional Chinese medicine story
Here is a story. According to legend, during the Sui and Tang Dynasties, Sun Simiao, a famous Chinese medicine practitioner, traveled in Zhendong, Emei Mountain, Sichuan, and made an alchemy to cure diseases. Due to the basin climate and high humidity in Sichuan, many rheumatism patients went to the mountains for medical treatment, but Sun Simiao was helpless.
On this day, Sun Simiao took his disciples up the mountain to collect herbs. Suddenly, he found an old gray stork pecking at an unknown grass on the cliff. After a long time, he dragged his heavy body and slowly flew away. A few days later, Sun Simiao saw the old stork pecking at the grass again, and then flew away. Strangely, the old stork is no longer sick, but flies lightly and powerfully.
Sun Simiao said to his disciples around him, "Old storks feed on fish and shrimp in the water all the year round, so they are prone to rheumatism. Old storks can eat this grass, which shows that it is nontoxic and can cure rheumatism. We also take these grasses back to test.
Rheumatoid patients decoct this herb with water and take its juice. After taking it for a few days, a miracle happened. The swollen joints of both legs stopped swelling and pain, and they could walk freely.
The good news spread, people came here for treatment and more and more people were cured. Everyone asked Sun Simiao to give the grass a name. Sun Simiao said: This herb is known to the old stork, so it is called "geranium"!
Modern plants are young plants of Panicum miliaceum, belonging to Geranium family or perennial herb geranium, and the whole grass is used as medicine by removing the residual roots. Bitter, pungent, flat, expelling wind, promoting blood circulation and dredging collaterals. It can be used for treating rheumatic pain, numbness of limbs, arthralgia, carbuncle swelling, traumatic injury, enteritis and dysentery.
According to the herbs in southern Yunnan, geranium can dispel wind, treat skin itching, pass through the twelve meridians, and treat pain in bones and muscles, flaccidity due to phlegm-fire, numbness of limbs and so on. Usage and dosage: 6- 15g dry product is taken orally, or soaked in wine or boiled in ointment. In the folk, geranium is effective in treating rheumatism and has been circulating for a long time.
Extended data:
basic theory
The basic theory of traditional Chinese medicine is a theoretical summary of human life activities and diseases, which mainly includes the theories of yin and yang, five elements, luck, dirty images, meridians and so on, as well as etiology, pathogenesis, diagnosis, syndrome differentiation, treatment, prevention and health preservation.
yin and yang
It belongs to the category of China's ancient philosophy. Yin-yang theory holds that everything in the universe has two aspects, namely Yin and Yang, which are both opposite and unified, and constantly moving and interacting. This kind of movement and interaction is the root of the movement and change of everything. The ancients called this constant movement and change "biochemical infinity"
Su Wen said that Yin and Yang should be like a big theory: "Yin and Yang are the way of heaven and earth (the existence of unity of opposites is the fundamental law of all things), and the law of all things (everything can't exist against this law) is in the changing matrix (the change of things is formed by the continuous movement and interaction of Yin and Yang).
The origin of birth, illness and death (the production and destruction of things all come from this fundamental law) and Shenfu (this is where all the secrets of nature lie), so the treatment must be based on this (so if you want to cure the disease, you must solve it from this fundamental problem-Yin and Yang). "It is expounded that the growth, development and extinction of all things in the universe are the result of the continuous movement and interaction of Yin and Yang.
Therefore, the theory of Yin and Yang has become a way of thinking to understand and master the laws of nature. Medicine belongs to the category of natural science, and it is believed that the physiological activities of the human body and the occurrence and development of diseases cannot go beyond yin and yang. Therefore, in order to master the development process of the disease, explore the essence of the disease and obtain satisfactory curative effect, we must explore the changes of yin and yang in the human body.
theory of the five elements
That is, the five philosophical categories of wood, fire, earth, gold and water are used to summarize the attributes of different things in the objective world, and the five-element dynamic model is used to explain the laws of mutual connection and transformation between things. The "Five Elements Theory" refers to the movement and changes of these five substances and their interrelations, and explains the interrelations and movement and changes of things with mutual resistance as a reasoning tool.
Traditional Chinese medicine mainly uses the theory of five elements to explain the functional relationship between five zang-organs and the mechanism of diseases when zang-fu organs are out of balance, and also to guide the treatment of zang-fu organs diseases.
Luck theory
Also known as five movements and six qi, it is a theory to study and explore the influence of astronomical, meteorological and climate changes in nature on human health and diseases. The Five Games include wood transportation, fire transportation, earth transportation, gold transportation and water transportation, and refer to the seasonal cycle of spring, summer, autumn and winter in nature.
Six qi are six climatic factors: stroke, cold, heat, dampness, dryness and fire all year round. Luck theory is based on astronomical calendar parameters to calculate the annual climate change and disease occurrence law.
Zangfu theory
This paper mainly studies the physiological functions and pathological changes of five internal organs (heart, liver, spleen, lung and kidney), six internal organs (small intestine, large intestine, stomach, bladder, gallbladder and triple energizer) and strange internal organs (brain, marrow, bone, pulse, gallbladder and female fetus).
meridian doctrine
It is closely related to the theory of viscera. Meridian is the channel of qi and blood circulation in human body, which has the function of communicating inside and outside and networking the whole body. In pathological state, the function of meridian system changes, which will present corresponding symptoms and signs. Through these manifestations, we can diagnose visceral diseases in vivo.
