But when Hu Caizhu saw this couplet, he felt dissatisfied, so he revised it, changed the bottom couplet into Spring Festival couplets, and posted the revised couplet on his door. On the birthday, many guests came to celebrate Mrs. Hu's birthday. Everyone laughed when they saw this couplet posted on Hu Caizhu's door, and mother didn't know the meaning of this couplet.

After asking the reason, Hu Man, a rich man, shamefully changed this couplet into the original one, and never showed off his pen and ink again. This incident later became a stalk for the villagers to laugh at Hu Man, a rich man.

But to some extent, this joke also reflects the profoundness of China culture. Just changing one word in the couplet is quite different from the original intention, and even carelessness will cause great embarrassment, so it is not easy to be a good scholar.
