Reflections on pantomime

This month, we will perform a pantomime performance in the fourth reading festival for senior children. Senior children performed interesting fairy tales with immature children's voices and vivid body language.

This is my first pantomime rehearsal in high school, and I also have a lot of feelings in this pantomime rehearsal.

From choosing stories, negotiating roles, making props and rehearsing performances, older children are carefully prepared.

What was my favorite fairy tale during the preliminary investigation? As a child in a big class, I excitedly chose the classic fairy tale "The Big Tiger without Teeth".

When I choose my favorite story character and the story character I want to play most, I think I should adjust my mentality in time and respect every child's choice. Children must have their own reasons for choosing roles, not unreasonable. Practice has proved that every child will play his own role well and bring endless fun to everyone. Therefore, as teachers, we should respect each child's choice. In the arrangement of pantomime, we should be a careful observer, observe the child's mentality and adjust it in time. For example, when choosing a pantomime role, several people will compete for a role, and eventually some children will lose the election. At this time, the child will feel lost and unhappy. We can say to them: Although you didn't play the leading role, other roles are also important. If there is no other role except the protagonist, how boring is pantomime and how can it be presented to the audience? Children quickly understand this truth, and when the role they want to play is selected, they can quickly rush to the next one.

After the role was selected and the needed props were determined, the production of costume props was also put on the agenda. For the production of props, teachers, children and parents can all be producers of performance props. When discussing the production, before the teacher and the child participate in the performance, the teacher and the child discuss the plot together and sort out the needed props. In our performance "The Big Tiger Without Teeth", the headdresses of various small animals are made by children in the form of painting, cutting, gluing and folding during regional activities. Through the clever use of waste, parents and children collect cartons at home to make all kinds of needed props. At home, Qi Xin works together to fully tap parents' resources and invites parents and children to prepare pantomime together to save strength for their children's childhood.

As teachers, educators hope that children can feel the educational value of pantomime from the heart and learn while playing, thus stimulating children's interest and enthusiasm in reading and performing.
