Genesis of two manatees on the seabed of Wan Li

The manatee, whose scientific name is dugong, is actually an ugly creature. Because when a mother manatee hugs her baby, it acts like a person holding her baby. When someone sees it, they will say that they see someone in the sea. After a long time of legend, it became a mermaid now. Dugong, commonly known as mermaid, is a precious animal in the world and is rarely seen by people.

Mainly distributed in the western Pacific Ocean and the Indian Ocean, they like the sea areas with good water quality and abundant aquatic plants, and regularly float out of the sea for air exchange. Because female dugongs occasionally have the habit of holding their young in the water to breastfeed, dugongs are often mistaken for "mermaids". Since 4000 years ago, humans have been hunting dugong, eating meat to extract oil, carving bones and making leather. So far, the number of dugong is extremely rare.

Manatees usually live in shallow seas and estuaries, and only a few species inhabit rivers, which can control algae flooding.
