Responsibilities of the Guangdong Provincial Border Defense Corps of the Armed Police

The Guangdong Provincial Armed Police Border Guard Corps (also known as the Guangdong Provincial Public Security Border Guard Corps) is under the dual leadership of the Border Guard Administration Bureau of the Ministry of Public Security and the Guangdong Provincial Public Security Department. It has 48 detachment-level units and is mainly responsible for protecting the national territory. Sovereignty security, the responsibility of maintaining the security and stability of border and coastal areas, carrying out armed patrols and vigilance of national (border) borders, port border inspections, border and maritime security management, preventing and combating sneaking in and out, combating smuggling, smuggling, gun trafficking, drug trafficking and others cross-border crimes, carry out border foreign-related border defense cooperation and handle border affairs and other tasks.
