How many major events will be included in the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics?

The 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics will have 7 major events, including curling, skating, sledding, skiing, ice hockey, bobsleigh and biathlon.

The 15 sub-categories are short track speed skating, figure skating, speed skating, curling, ice hockey, freestyle skiing, snowboarding, biathlon, ski jumping, cross-country skiing, Nordic combined, Alpine skiing, sledding, bobsleigh, and bobsleigh.

The Beijing competition area is responsible for all ice sports; the Yanqing competition area is responsible for bobsleigh, sled, and alpine skiing; and the Chongli District of Zhangjiakou competition area is responsible for all snow sports except bobsleigh, sled, and alpine skiing.

The Beijing 2022 Winter Paralympic Games will have six major events (Paralympic alpine skiing, Paralympic biathlon, Paralympic cross-country skiing, Paralympic snowboarding, Paralympic ice hockey, and wheelchair Curling) and 78 events.
