1908, the cousins put this idea into practice, adding honey almond nougat originating in Italy to their own chocolate and making it into a unique triangle. Later, they named this triangular chocolate bar "Toblerone". The name "Toblerone" is a combination of the Italian surname Torrone of the founder's family.
