Where is Lijiang Black Dragon Pool Park?

Deyue Building in Heilongtan is surrounded by water and connected with the shore by a bridge. Deyue Building has three floors and four corners, a pyramid-shaped roof and a stretch shape. Each floor has carved doors and windows with exquisite workmanship. This building was built in the second year of Guangxu reign in Qing Dynasty (1876), and it was named after the three Chinese characters of "the moon is near the water tower, and flowers and trees are blooming in the sun early". During the reconstruction of 1963, Guo Moruo, a famous modern writer in China, wrote three beautiful Chinese characters and two couplets.

Lijiang Black Dragon Pool is located at the west foot of Xiangshan Mountain in the northeast corner of Old Town of Lijiang, which is called Gemuju in Xiangshan language, two kilometers away from the ancient city. There is a lake with an area of nearly 760,000 square meters in the park, which looks like a crescent moon. There is a pavilion in the middle of the lake, and there is a pearl spring outlet on the other side of the pavilion and the shore of the lake. Lijiang Black Dragon Pool is also known as Yuquan Park, Yushui Dragon Pool and Xiangshan Lingquan.

Jade Dragon Snow Mountain is just reflected on the surface of Black Dragon Pool, and the clear water reflects the majestic Jade Dragon. As a symbol of Lijiang, this picture was once familiar to many people.

Black Dragon Pool, like parks in other places, has towering old trees and pavilions. The difference is that it is also the seat of Lijiang Dongba Cultural Research Institute. There are more than 20 thousand Dongba classics of Naxi nationality preserved here. If you are interested in Dongba language or Dongba culture, this is a must-see place. Cross the long road in the park and go out by the back door. Lijiang County Museum is next to Wufeng Building. This building, which combines Han, Tibetan and Naxi styles, has a collection of nearly 10,000 cultural relics, and is the first choice for understanding Lijiang's national history, culture and folk customs.
