We arrived in Kaifeng, Henan, and had the honor to visit Kaifeng House. As we walked, we talked about why this "mirror hanging high" Bao Qingtian was widely known from generation to generation, and even regarded "black boss" as a symbol of "fairness, honesty and strict law enforcement". Later, as a public security law enforcement officer, I seem to get some enlightenment and understanding from the couplets of Kaifeng House. These couplets, either affirming the administrative purpose or encouraging officials, are uniform and profound, expressing the virtue of administration and the strictness of law enforcement. Today, they still have reference and educational significance.

There are two couplets on the pillars of Zhao Fengting; 1. repay kindness with courtesy; Spread kindness for official law enforcement. 2. Xuanwei kuya people abide by the law; There are three chapters in the imperial edict, and officials are impartial. The couplet is smooth and meaningful, and it is worthy of being a good "notice to protect the people." It is actually telling the people that all law enforcers are ordered to serve the consolidation of political power. As long as they enforce the law impartially, their reputation will spread far and wide.

There are two couplets at the entrance of the main hall; 1, Yi Man Gan Kun, change the deficiency, write the North; Be loyal to the sun and the moon, severely punish evil, and cast spells on Nanya. This couplet comes straight to the point and clearly shows the responsibility and determination to be an official. Both couplets say that law enforcement is important. Only integrity, justice, diligence, honesty and self-discipline can severely punish evil. 2. I'd rather never go to court and reduce my punishment, which seems to be a temporary intention; Pray for the people to work hard and neglect their responsibilities, but they don't know the public. It typically reflects the mainstream thought of "no litigation" in China's traditional culture, that is, social harmony, which advocates people to solve contradictions harmoniously through moral restraint and self-adjustment; Although couplets had some limitations in feudal times, these thoughts were deeply embedded in China's cultural tradition. This couplet is sharp-edged, which makes people feel relaxed and happy, and the gangsters have a lingering fear. It is similar to today's "the French Open is restored, sparse but not leaking".

There are two couplets in the main hall; 1, there is no power in the eyes, but there are subalterns in the heart; 2. There is no waste of music in the piano, and the law enforcement voice is clear; These two antithetical couplets embody the ruling idea of enforcing the law for the people, with clear rewards and punishments, and imply the combination of rigidity and softness and Zhang Chi's golden mean. Lian said that in law enforcement, we should not be afraid of power and not be selfish; Humane law enforcement should be lenient and leave room. It embodies the law enforcement ideas of "ruling the country by virtue" and "the monarch is guilty of the same crime as Shu Ren" in China feudal society. It is also a good wish of people.

Wandering among Pingyao's ancient city walls, Gushi Tower, ancient shops, ancient streets, ancient houses and ancient county offices seems to put people in a movie scene of the Ming and Qing Dynasties and return to the ancient times of the Ming and Qing Dynasties. Pingyao, not only has many famous cultural relics and historical sites at home and abroad, but also the famous Shanxi merchant culture, but what impressed me the most is a large number of couplets with rich connotations. In Pingyao ancient city, couplets can be seen everywhere, including county offices, houses, temples, theaters, ticket houses, pawn shops, streets, teahouses, pharmacies and brick carvings, with different styles, dazzling and colorful.

The most concentrated place of couplets is Guxian Cliff in Pingyao. Pingyao Ancient County House is one of the few well-preserved ancient county houses in China. The whole founding of the People's Republic of China was left by Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties.

When I came to the lobby of the county government, I saw a couple of feet long hall couplets hanging high: eat civilian food and wear civilian clothes. People can't bully themselves. They're people, too. There is no shame in losing your official position. Don't say that an official is useless by an official. The first couplet said that what we eat, wear and use is created by the people; At the same time, I am also a member of the people, so I should love them and treat them as my own. When talking about being an official, Xia Lian warned local officials that they should not treat their own gains and losses, that is, the promotion of official positions lightly, and what is important is to benefit the local government. This couplet has been circulated for hundreds of years because it explains the relationship and connotation of being a man, doing things and being an official in simple language. On the one hand, officials come from the people and ultimately belong to the people. Officials should regard themselves as a member of the people and cannot seek privileges; On the other hand, officials bear greater responsibilities than ordinary people and should have higher requirements for themselves. To be an official, we should be people-oriented, diligent and love the people, and benefit one party.

Entering the second hall is another couplet of the second hall: I came because of the fate of the people, and I will be worthy of the people. The tour guide specially reminds tourists that if you look closely, you will find that the word "shame" is less than the word "ghost", and the word "person" is more, indicating more love for the people and less shame.

When you come to the study and bedroom where Xiancheng works and lives, you can see some church couplets: "Apart from immortals, rice, oil, salt, sauce, vinegar and tea are indispensable; Filial piety, loyalty, courtesy, honesty, no copper money to do "; "Fish are caught by fishing lines because they are greedy for bait, and birds are caught by biting insects"; "There is always a way to govern, and you can't forget the overall situation with small favors, but you can't govern officials, but you need to save righteousness to have an affair" and so on. These couplets tell people that honor comes from self-cultivation and the realm rises from introspection. To be a good official, we must abide by social morality and professional ethics, stress honesty, emphasize character, and stand up to poverty and temptation. On the horizontal plaque, the three major events of "being clear, cautious and diligent" are written fairly, which is thought-provoking and thought-provoking. "Ming, Caution and Diligence", as the motto of the emperor's exhortation to be an official, comes from the words of Sima Zhao Xun, a great official in the Three Kingdoms period. "For the next official, be clear, cautious, diligent, and repair these three, why not!"

These couplets reflect the relationship between being an official and serving the people. Officials come from the people. Without the people, there would be no officials. The fundamental difference between officials and people lies in the words "power" and "responsibility". The main sign to measure an official is to see why he is in power, what he does with his power and what his responsibility is. "Being an official is not the master of the people, it is better to go home and sell sweet potatoes", which is the best interpretation. More importantly, when you become an official, don't forget the people. "There is a saying in the hearts of ordinary people that they are called ordinary people in our country", which makes sense. In the old society, honest officials regarded the people above the sky, never forgot the official hat on their heads, and persistently performed the official duties of "the people are the masters of the country", being aboveboard, upright and upright. The impartial Bao Gong has established a lofty "blue sky" image in people's minds. Today, as the official of the * * * production party, that is, the so-called public servants, it is the people who give us rights. We are much better than the past environment and conditions. Why can't we serve the people wholeheartedly and do our duty as public servants?

"Be an official for a while, be a man for a lifetime." Explain the dialectical relationship between being an official and being a man. Officials are human beings. Good officials should be praised, but after all, due to age and other conditions, they should also quit politics in a certain period of time; Return to the people's ranks and people's lives; Therefore, being a man is a long-term and lifelong thing. This requires being kind to others, putting filial piety first, and always treating the people as parents, serving well, doing good things, solving difficult problems and doing practical things.

Pingyao County Ya has become a mirror reflecting ancient politics, official style and world sentiment, especially the official league of neixiang county Ya, which profoundly expounded the way to be an official.

In the Qiao Family Courtyard, I not only personally felt its luxurious style, grandeur and preciseness, but also felt its profound cultural heritage and fine family traditions on the spot. I also enjoyed the intriguing couplets of the Qiao Family Courtyard, such as self-cultivation, family harmony, life, business, expressing ambition and singing scenery ... The contents are vast, exquisite and elegant, and I realized the philosophy and cultural essence of life.

Walking in the majestic and profound Qiao family courtyard, couplets and plaques with rich contents, profound thoughts, diverse forms and beautiful calligraphy can be seen everywhere. Of course, this is related to the cultural tradition of our country, but I think it is inseparable from the great attention and efforts of the Qiao family. In the past, although there was no such fashionable saying as "educating people all the time" and "educating people in all directions", in my opinion, Qiao's couplets and plaques played this role imperceptibly all the time. Most of the couplets and plaques here are just like the family rules of the Qiao family, and they are not out of date so far. I'm afraid some ideas conveyed by couplets can't catch up with us modern people, at least I'm not an ancient person. Here, I have selected some of the most impressive collections. When my friends read them, they will know that my point of view is not nonsense.

The plaque at the gate is "Harmony" and "Antique". There is no intention of killing people for money, and there is no show-off of being rich and expensive. It only expresses the family's pursuit of harmony, harmony, harmony and so on, and hopes to keep simple and ancient customs forever, rather than fashion and customs. The ancients said: "If you are in the middle, you will reach the Tao.": Harmony is also the foundation of the earth. Be neutral, heaven is in an awkward position, and everything breeds. "Can and, what can't you do? ! This may be the source of building a harmonious society today.

Yong Dao couplet: "Yan Ji took a hundred years to learn, but Wan is studying." It is more common today that those who have studied in college can't find a job or don't study will make more money than those who have studied. Today, a new round of "reading is useless" has appeared again; Today, when you are eager for quick success and instant benefit, you might as well read this couplet soberly and wisely.

The plaque of the First Hospital reads: "Kindness is the happiest." Being kind can get others' approval and bring happiness to others; Can let oneself have a sense of accomplishment to realize their own value; Can make your mind sunny and feel comfortable; Can we accumulate virtues for future generations and set a good example for future generations?

The couplet of the First Hospital: "Accumulated virtue is the trend of carrying forward the past and opening up the future, and Lingyun is determined to inspire the future." Forgetting history means betrayal. If a person wants to stand on the world, he must consciously inherit the fine traditions of his ancestors. But if we want to revitalize young families and countries, are some achievements today enough? Couplets give the best answer-focus on the future and open the future!

The couplets of the Second Hospital: "There is a saying in the heirloom that only kindness is left, and it is not strange that it is not straight." Does this couplet still make sense today when it is clever, flexible, illusory and deceptive? Think carefully, reflect on life, every sentence is true! There is also the couplet "It is good to study hard and do business well, and it is good to study hard, but it is particularly difficult to do business all the time", in which dialectical thinking and entrepreneurial thinking also give us a lot of inspiration!

The couplets of the Fourth Academy: "Jin and Wei have books to leave, and there is nothing to say." It means to collect very old books and only talk about the virtues of the ancients when you have nothing to do. Why? Books should of course collect those classics that have been baptized and screened by time. Talking about the ancients without talking about the present is also a way of "watching the scenery" and also to avoid causing trouble, "sitting still and waiting for death regardless of people's mistakes"!

The couplets of the Fifth Academy: "Reading is not famous. After all, the character is elegant, and Xiu De unexpectedly gained a natural dream and peace of mind. " Even if reading is not famous, there will be elegant speech and morality. If you do good deeds and accumulate virtue, you will naturally feel at ease without asking for anything in return. What a free and easy state! How many people can do it today without seeking fame or profit?

The couplets of the Sixth Academy: "Generosity, frankness, happiness, simplicity, gentleness, peace and glory will prosper over time." This is the same as the previous couplets, but it has a new artistic conception. Openness, generosity and peace can not only achieve today's career, but also make family business and happiness stay forever. There is also a pair of couplets: "I am a tiller of poetry, and I like sour customs." It means that reading poetry is as beautiful as drinking alcohol, and hobbies are not the same as laity. This is similar to my favorite couplet "Determined not to follow the customs and learn from the ancients".

Although the couplets hung high in the hall or engraved on the pillars are just a few words, they contain the hardships of doing business, the truth of being a man and the ingenious methods of managing the family.
