Star Tower and Taihe City

The Star-Picking Building is 1,574 meters above sea level, which is located in the south of Checun Town, Songxian County, with a straight line distance of less than 5 kilometers. There are about 6 kilometers of mountain paths along the Taihe Valley, which is not far west of the town, to reach the top of the mountain. After the summit, you can have a panoramic view of the whole Funiu Mountain. Shiren Mountain, Muzhaling, Baotianman, Yuhuangding and Laojun Mountain are all faintly visible.

In the past, when I came to Checun, I passed by during my trip and exploration in Funiu Mountain, and I didn't pay much attention to it. In the past two days, I boarded the Star Picking Building at the invitation of my old friend Wu Ke and the owner of the Star Picking Building, Lao Ge. After a field trip to Checun and Taihe Valley, I discovered that Checun is actually a place with a rich history.

The Star-Picking Building was called Taihe Mountain in ancient times, and Taihe Valley was under Taihe Mountain. The water came out as Rushui, which was the birthplace of Ruhe River. There is a relic of Zen Jade Temple in Gukou, which was built when Taihe City was built in the Northern Wei Dynasty, and was destroyed by mountain torrents in the Tang Dynasty.

The very inconspicuous mound below is covered with weeds and shrubs. Under the mound is a farmland. The locals call it a ghost town. In fact, it is the remains of the ancient Taihe City. In the past, the traffic was inconvenient, and the north-south traffic had to detour through Funiu Mountain. Checun was then the main road leading to Luoyang.

In the 17th year of Emperor Xiaowen of the Northern Wei Dynasty (AD 493), Taihe City was built here as a barrier to defend the capital Luoyang.

after the division of the northern Wei dynasty, Taihe city belonged to the eastern Wei dynasty. in wuding five years of the eastern Wei dynasty (in 547, the first year of Liang taiqing), Hou Jing, the general of the eastern Wei dynasty, fell to the western Wei dynasty in the land of thirteen States in Henan province. Taihe City is governed by Liang County, Luyang County, and "the Western Wei Dynasty got its land and set up soldiers as a place for defense" (Gu Zuyu was Ming in the Minutes of Reading Historical Records). After the Eastern and Western Wei Dynasties were replaced by the Northern Qi Dynasty and the Northern Zhou Dynasty, Taihe City was won by Wen Xuandi Gaoyang of the Northern Qi Dynasty. "Set troops to prevent Zhou Kou. And Chen Shi invaded and died at the age of several. " Taihe City changed its name many times between the Southern and Northern Dynasties, the Eastern and Western Wei Dynasties, the Northern Zhou Dynasty, the Northern Qi Dynasty and the Southern Chen Dynasty. After the Northern Qi Dynasty, Gao Wei was promoted for 2 years (AD 577), the Northern Zhou Dynasty destroyed the Northern Qi Dynasty, and the Southern Chen General Wu Ming went to the Northern Expedition, which was finally destroyed by the war, lasting for 84 years.

84 years is too short in the long river of history, and it is too easy to be submerged and forgotten. The local people call Taihe City a ghost town, saying that it rose overnight and disappeared overnight. This is a folk sigh for history. The site of Taihe City in the Northern Wei Dynasty is about 8 meters long from east to west and 3 meters wide from north to south. Today, the rammed earth wall of the Northern Wei Dynasty is left on three sides, southeast and west, with a height of about 1 to 5 meters, showing the original soil layer, rammed soil layer and accumulation layer from bottom to top.

Song Zhiwen, a poet in the Tang Dynasty, left a poem here:

Climb Xiemaling in the morning and look at Funiu Mountain in the distance.

standing alone at the head of the group, it is full of vigor.

Taihe is also Cui Wei, and the stone fan flashes horizontally.

the fine cen leans on each other, floating and competing.

the white clouds are far away, and the green haze is near.

it's just looking for the supernatural, and Zhou Gu is satisfied.

Song Zhiwen's poems vividly describe the natural scenery and local customs of the Star Tower, that is, Taihe Mountain.

The next day, take the Star Tower to burn people's fields, and cross Funiu Mountain on the top of the gem ring road.

Burning Man Field is a ravine, also called Burning Man Field Ditch. There are three villages in the ravine, which are called Upper Burning Man Field Ditch, Middle Burning Man Field Ditch and Lower Burning Man Field Ditch. The name is not very pleasant, but it has a historical origin. Not far from Yunyan Temple, there is a stone tablet that records the history of the burning ground, but the handwriting is completely illegible and can only be based on what the local residents said.

The crematorium was originally a place where monks died and were cremated. In the late Ming Dynasty, the Li Zicheng Rebel Army ransacked the 9981 Temple in Funiu Mountain for food and property. A large number of monks and soldiers were cremated in this ditch after being killed in the battle with the rebel army, hence the name of the burning field.

There are big trees crossing it in the ditch, with lush foliage, which is a natural single-plank bridge.

At dusk, I stayed in Checun, and I could remember the Star Tower vividly. At sunset, the rolling mountains were silent. It reminds people of a trip to Lushan Mountain written by Wang Yucheng, a poet in the Tang Dynasty:

The horse wears a trail and the chrysanthemum turns yellow,

It is believed that the horse is long and wild.

the sound of thousands of valleys spreads to the night, and

the peaks are silent and set the sun.

In history, people just pass by in a hurry, but the mountains and rivers are silent, but it is a permanent witness ...

It is the day when the grass grows in the car village.
