On August 12, 2011, the 26th Summer Universiade will be held in Shenzhen. The Shenzhen Universiade plans to use 63 sports venues. "Shenzhen, no distance from the world" is the slogan of the Shenzhen Universiade bid. The theme slogan of the Shenzhen Universiade is: "Start Here". The mascot of the Shenzhen Universiade is "UU", which is a smiling face evolved from the "Happy U" emblem of the Shenzhen Universiade. The emblem of the Shenzhen Universiade is "Happy U", which is composed of five dots in red, green, yellow, blue and black, which means "university", "you", "union" and "universe". It also symbolizes the gathering of college students of different skin colors from five continents in the world in Shenzhen. The bid logo for the Shenzhen Universiade is the "Flying U".
