How to have enough concentration and endurance?

"Quiet, smile, present moment, wonderful moment". You can recite it while sitting in meditation, and you can use it in walking meditation. You can also use other methods, such as counting breaths: inhale, one, exhale, one; inhale, two, exhale, two; inhale, three, exhale, three... until ten. Then you count backwards: ten, nine, eight, seven... Counting your breath is a way to help you concentrate and enter samadhi. If you don't have enough concentration, you won't have enough power to achieve a breakthrough in practice, and you won't be able to enter the Zen opportunity. Therefore, breathing, walking meditation, sitting meditation and other practices are first and foremost intended to help you achieve a certain level of concentration, which is called "samatha". "Zhi" means to concentrate. Just like a lampshade prevents light from spreading and makes it easier for you to read, the first step in meditation is "stopping", stopping distractions and focusing on one thing. The best thing, the most valuable thing, is your breath. Breathing is wonderful, it connects mind and body together. Whether you are counting your breaths or just following your breaths, it is all about "stopping". "Stop" and "view" are very closely related. Once you stopped, the words on the page became clearer and it became clear what was wrong with our son. "Stop" and "view" are Zen concentration and Zen enlightenment. Enlightenment means you have insight, insight into reality. "Zhi" is also for "view", and conversely, "view" can help "stop". These two are two in one. We do so many things, run so fast, and the situation is so bad, so many people will say: "Don't just sit there, do something!" But the more you do, the worse the situation may be. So you should say, "Don't be busy all the time, sit down." Sit there, stop, be yourself first, and then start from the beginning. This is what meditation is all about. You can try this in a meditation hall, at home, or anywhere else, but you must really sit. Sitting alone is not enough. You must sit and be "(Be in the Moment)." If there is no "is" in zazen, it would not be called zazen. What is it? It is "stop" and "view". There are many methods of "stopping" and "viewing". Smart teachers can invent various ways to help you. It is said that Buddhism has 84,000 Dharma doors that can help you enter into reality. A Dharma door is a method of practice. When we are riding a horse that is out of control, I think our strongest desire is to stop. How to stop? We must control the speed and remain calm, so we must organize resistance. Spending two hours over a cup of tea in tea Zen is an act of resistance, an act of non-violent resistance. We can do this because we have a sangha. We can do it together and resist this lifestyle that makes us lose ourselves. Walking meditation and sitting meditation are our resistance. So if you want to stop the arms race, you have to resist, and start resisting in your own daily life. I saw a car in New York with a slogan on the bumper: "Let peace begin with me." This is correct. "Let me start with peace", this is also true. Walking meditation can be a lot of fun. We walk slowly, alone or with friends, choosing some scenic spots if possible. Walking meditation is truly enjoying walking, not to reach some dizzying goal, but just for the sake of walking itself. The aim is to live in the moment and enjoy every step you take. So you have to get rid of all the anxieties and worries, not thinking about the future, not thinking about the past, but just enjoy the present moment. You can hold a child's hand during walking meditation. You walk, step by step, as if you are the happiest person on earth. We walk all the time, but our walking tends to be more like running. When we walk in such a hurry, we are imprinting anxiety and pain on the earth; we must walk in this way to imprint only peace and tranquility on the earth. If we desire peace and quiet, then each of us should choose to walk the latter way. Every child can do this. If we can take one step like that, we can take two, three, four, five steps. When we can walk peacefully and happily, we contribute to the peace and happiness of all mankind. Walking meditation is really a very good way to practice. The Buddha's basic teaching on meditation is The Satipatthana Sutta. Versions are available in Pali, Chinese, and many other languages, including English and French. According to this sutra, meditation is to be clear and clear about what is happening in your body, sensory consciousness, and the outside world as the object of consciousness.

If you know what's going on, you'll be able to see problems clearly when they arise and help prevent further problems from occurring. When things break out, it's too late. How we should approach our daily lives is the most important question. How to deal with your feelings, words, and daily affairs, this is meditation. We must learn to incorporate meditation into our daily lives. There are many easy things to try. For example, before dinner, everyone can sit around the table and practice taking three deep breaths. This is done so that you can regain yourself and become your true self. I believe that every deep breath allows you to become your whole self again. Secondly, before you start eating, you can look at everyone with a smile and look at each person for two or three seconds.
