Introduction to fourteen winters:

The 14th Winter Games in People's Republic of China (PRC) was officially approved by the State Council, sponsored by the State Sports General Administration and undertaken by the People's Government of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. The Games was held in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region from February 6, 2007 to February 27, 2024. This is the first national winter sports event held after the Beijing Winter Olympics, with 8 major events, 16 sub-events, 176.

Preparatory work:

First, the Preparatory Committee for the 14th National Winter Games was established. On May 10, Bu Xiaolin, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and Chairman of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Government, presided over the first plenary meeting of the Preparatory Committee for the 14th National Winter Games, listened to relevant reports and studied the preparations for deployment.

The second is to strengthen propaganda work and create an atmosphere of public opinion.

The third is to speed up the construction of venues and improve infrastructure. According to the layout planning of competition venues, the ice sports venue of the 14th National Winter Games, namely Inner Mongolia Ice Sports Training Center, will be built in two phases, with the first phase scheduled to be completed by the end of July 20 18 and the second phase scheduled to be completed by the end of July 20 19. The renovation of Phoenix Mountain Snow Resort in yakeshi, Jinlongshan Snow Resort in Zhalantun and Meilin Valley Snow Resort in Chifeng City is being actively carried out.

The fourth is to optimize the team structure and implement the responsibility goal. Through local training and exchange, we will improve the overall level and competitive strength of winter sports in Inner Mongolia and strengthen the construction of winter sports teams. Jointly set up a national biathlon and cross-country skiing team with the State Sports General Administration; Signed an agreement with Harbin Sports Bureau and Shenyang Institute of Physical Education to develop ice and snow sports and cooperate to cultivate ice and snow talents.
