National minority language college entrance examination policy

The college entrance examination for minority languages adopts a complete set of questions (including listening part and written part) to organize the examination. The listening test should be arranged before the written test. The listening test should be conducted before the written test. The examination time starts at 9:00 and ends before 1 1:00 (the detailed rules for the implementation of the examination will be notified separately). The second interview time is June 8 (see article 18 for the specific time schedule). In addition to June 8, our province can arrange the examination time separately. Candidates majoring in foreign languages should take the oral examination organized by the provincial level.

Except for some special colleges (majors) such as military, national defense, public security, etc., colleges and universities may not stipulate the proportion of male and female students, may not impose foreign language restrictions on candidates who apply for non-foreign language and literature majors, and may not impose other restrictions other than those stipulated by national policies.

Small languages, as the name implies, are foreign languages that are only used in a few countries compared with English, and English is widely used. There are generally two definitions of minority languages. One refers to all languages except those commonly used by the United Nations (English, Chinese, French, Russian, Spanish and Arabic);

People usually think that English is the common language and all other languages are non-common, so another definition of minority languages refers to languages other than English. According to the first definition, there are about 30 kinds of minority languages offered in Chinese universities.

According to the regulations of the Ministry of Education on college entrance examination enrollment and the specific practices of implementing colleges and universities, from the specific policies and implementation process, there are three main enrollment methods of minority languages in China: (1) 25 colleges and universities enroll minority languages in advance. Most colleges and universities enroll small languages separately in advance.
