When New China was founded, Kubuqi Desert pushed tens of meters to the banks of the Yellow River every year, and1.60 billion tons of sediment flowed in, which directly threatened the survival and life safety of people in Hetao Plain, granaries outside the Great Wall and sand areas along the Yellow River.
