Andorran cigar slogan

There are many kinds of Cuban boxes, such as SLB and SBN. Cuban cigar boxes are roughly divided into wooden cases, cartons, cans, iron boxes and other special packaging. Of course, the most common are wooden cases and cartons.

0 1. Pull (slide) wooden cases.

Cuba's classic packaging method, almost all friends cigars and 50 cigars are packaged in this way, and the lid can slide in the box. This is a cabinet-level habanos cigar box designed for the British in the early 20th century. The cigar head in the box is usually round.

There are two kinds of wooden cases with drawer lids:

Ordinary wooden box with lid: SLB (sliding lid box)

Painted wooden box with drawer cover: VSLB (painted? Slide box)

Painting is one of the symbols of high-grade goods in Cuban cigar packaging, so COHIBA's 25 packs of century series are all packaged in this wooden box painted and covered by VSLB. And "civilian brands" like Youshang will not use painting to save costs.

This box is generally used to store 10, 25 and 50 cigars.

02. clamshell wooden cases

It is difficult to tell who is good and who is bad. This kind of box is basically the same "grade" in packaging. Classic representative brands are partagas, such as D4, E2 and P2.

There are two kinds of folding wooden cases:

Ordinary clam shell wooden case: SBN (semi-wood)

Painted clamshell wooden case: VSBN (painted semi-wood)

This box is generally used to store 5, 10, 12, 24 and 25 cigars.

As mentioned above, painting is one of the advanced performances, and VSBN is also proof of this statement, and the packaging of VSBN should only appear in Trinidad, which is a kind of cigar packaging with "mystery".

03. Fence wooden box

Pure wooden box packaging, the upper cover is buckled on the lower box, which is the biggest difference between BN fence wooden box and SBN flip wooden box. This kind of wooden box is usually well sealed, and the packaging level is higher than SBN and SLB.

Wooden cases with fences can be subdivided into two types:

Ordinary wooden box for fence: BN(Boite Nature)

Painted wooden box for fence: VBN (painted natural in Beuter)

This box is generally used to store 10 cigars and 25 cigars.

Because BN fence wooden cases are high-grade, they are usually painted (for example, Gao Xiba's tutor), so the usual BN packaging in the market is VBN painted fence wooden cases.

Special wooden box for fence

In view of the high-grade BN box, this kind of packaging is usually used for high-end goods in Cuba. How do you like it here? Yes, it is a classic BHK series. All these are SBN fence wooden boxes painted with piano paint. These boxes are full and expensive. Because there are too many local tyrants, it is especially difficult to buy.

04. Colored paper wooden cases

This is a packing box for Cuban cigars. There will be a layer of wrapping paper inside and outside the box. Some people call it DB(Dress box), which literally translates into a dress box. It is very beautiful, because it has colored paper, which enhances the aesthetics. However, due to the existence of colored paper, it should be noted that colored paper may absorb water, resulting in cigars being too wet for a long time. Therefore, in terms of preservation, the feeling effect is not as good as that of pure wooden cases.

It is worth mentioning that this kind of box is usually designed to be smaller, so the whole box of cigars will become a little square inside, but it is not suppressed by a box.

This box is generally used to store 10 cigars, 20 cigars and 25 cigars.

05. Pure paper box

This carton version is one of the more common versions in the market. There are separate small packages in a carton, usually 5X3 and 5X5. Some are cheaper, and several cigars are placed directly and side by side in small packages, such as Monte's small aluminum tubes.

There are also some cartons with small packages and independent cartons, such as Gao Xi Ba Century 6 Carton Edition and Trinidad Robutu Super Carton Edition.

06. "8-9-8" box

A box with curved edges on both sides. The origin of the box is based on the number and arrangement of cigars inside: 8-9-8. In other words, the box 1 has three layers of cigars: the first layer has 8 cigars, the second layer has 9 cigars, the third layer has 8 cigars, and the third layer has 25 cigars. It was named Dalia after the first cigar model that used this box. This box is equipped with metal hinges and brooch buttons.

Today, the same three-tier layout is used for 10 boxes: 3 boxes on the first floor, 4 boxes on the second floor, 3 boxes on the bottom floor, and 3-4-3 boxes. So the box with 10 is also 8-9-8. Similarly, the cigars in this box are all round-headed.

This box is generally used to store 10 cigars and 25 cigars.

Similarly, 898 boxes are divided into painted and unpainted. Pata's 898 is painted, and the old 898 is an unpainted wooden box. In addition to Pata, RA also produced 8-9-8, but it stopped production in 2003. RA copied this 898 in 15, but changed it to a limited edition in Germany. Unfortunately, the formula has changed, and the taste of the old version is destined to be memorable. Juan lopez once published a limited edition of Andorra, distributing 50 pieces in the size of Robutu Jr. and using 898 boxes.

07. Ceramic bottles and cans

Porcelain pots first appeared in the 1920s, and were very common in the 1950s and 1960s, but were gradually eliminated in the 1980s. 1996 resumed use. The porcelain jar has a gland. It usually includes 25 cigars and occasionally 50 cigars.

08. Glass bottles and glass bottles

Glass jars were introduced in the 20th century10s, and were very common in the 1950s and 1960s, but were gradually phased out in the mid-1970s. Re-launched in 2009.

This jar is made of transparent glass, and the lid is clamped with clips. Around 1970, the clips on the cover were changed from three to two.

09.metal

1 metal can

It is round or square and has a push cover. Cigars packed in plain or cellophane are usually upright or flat. This kind of packaging ceased to be used in the mid-1960s, but it was used again in the new Vegueros packaging in 20 13.

2, aluminum box aluminum box

Aluminum, flat, pocket-sized bag or box, usually hinged or sliding, usually contains 5 cigars. This kind of packaging ceased to be used in the mid-1980s. The large packages of 50 packs and 100 packs are obviously still in use.

3, metal box metal package

A flat pocket-sized metal bag or box, usually with hinges, containing five cigars.

The above covers almost some of the most common packaging boxes, and some special ones are not introduced here, because they are too special for everyone to see. Of course, if you are interested or see anything special, you can leave a message.
