Historical Evolution of Dushi Town

Dushi Town is a township under the jurisdiction of Yanling County. 1949 is a township, 1958 is a commune, and 1984 is a hometown. Located in the east of the county seat, 26 kilometers away from the county seat, with an area of 246 square kilometers and a population of 1.5 million.

20 15, the township division of Yanling county was adjusted, and the former farm escrow area of Shizhou Township Courtyard was placed under the jurisdiction of Dushi Town.

Yan (Ling) Jing (Okayama) Highway runs through the countryside. Forest products include bamboo and wood processing and bamboo shoot products. Taoyuan Cave is a national nature reserve.

Dushi Town is rich in red culture, natural resources, beautiful ecological environment and numerous places of interest. Wanshou Palace is the former site where great leaders Mao Zedong and Zhu De first met. Xiaojiang and other villages have many slogans during the Red Army Revolution. These precious slogans will become an important part of the red slogan museum under construction. This town is rich in cultural resources. Du Shiwen Cultural Station was awarded the title of "Star Cultural Station" by Zhuzhou City 1995 and "Star Cultural Station" by Hunan Province 1996. There are many wonders and historic sites here, such as Tiewa Fairy, Popo Fairy, Millennium fir and so on. Taoyuandong National Forest Park is a pure land integrating tourism, leisure and recuperation. There are well-preserved virgin forests and waterfalls in the cave, which is very suitable for human leisure and recuperation.
