Quanzhou Overseas Chinese History Museum is located at No.732 Donghu Street, Quanzhou. It is a museum that mainly displays the overseas migration of overseas Chinese in Quanzhou and their survival and development history abroad, and reflects the main characteristics of overseas Chinese groups and their status and role in the development of human civilization. Quanzhou Overseas Chinese History Museum began planning and construction on 1982, and a preparatory committee was established on 1987. Construction of the museum began on 1993 and was completed by the end of 1995.

Quanzhou Overseas Chinese History Museum consists of 1 main building, 1 comprehensive building and two annex buildings in front of the museum. Since its establishment, the museum has successively carried out two basic exhibitions, "Out of the National History Museum" and "Quanzhou People in Nanyang". The Overseas Chinese History Museum mainly displays the reasons, types, ways, processes and influences of overseas Chinese in Quanzhou in different historical periods since the Tang Dynasty. Quanzhou People in Nanyang shows the history of Quanzhou people's survival and development overseas and the social changes and present situation of Quanzhou overseas Chinese.
