Heavy rainfall caused a 200-meter-long breach in the embankment of the Caiyuan Village section of the Kaotian River in Hubei Huangmei County. More than 1,000 officers and soldiers of a certain airborne brigade rushed to block the breach. All day and night, the embankment was brightly lit, and officers and soldiers built a 200-meter-long and 5-meter-high flood control embankment, successfully filling the breach.
